Come one Chivu be tolerant. Take me as example: I love those Dutch referees. Can't remember who it was (I think it was Temminck), but against Beerschot we had a Dutch one. Wonderful fella, refused to send of Kompany and give 'the Rats' a penalty

Indeed, Nigel de Jong was lucky for not being sent off after his disgraceful attempt to bring Frank Grandel onto the pitch when he stamped on Joost Terol's head with his studs.
Luckily justice was served as Grandel made matchwinning saves in the last quarter

Lex Immers - Pace & power. Holland's #1 box to box player

Feyenoord forum - the place to talk about this phenomenon

Oh my gOD, you have even worse fellows than Verbist? If you send him this way, we surely have to give you Vink in exchange then.

Yeah, he was on fire last weekend. Brugge's only goal was not only a hands-goal it was also off-side.

Our belgian numero uno, our national pride, our only representative on the WC, our hope in dark days. Actually, sad isn't it?
The quicker he retires the better. Makes you wonder how the KBVB rates their referees can't remember watching good games of him.

BTW: on the belgian referees:
I remember Engelaar saying in an inteview with HUMO. The only thing that shocked him about the belgian competition when he arrived, was the dramaticly low level of the refereeing. And he's completely right.

"I never knew my birth parents. There was a car accident. my birth mother was incinerated, and I only survived because her smoking carcass had formed a protective cocoon of slaughtered human effluence. A Belgian man and his fifteen year-old love slave were looting the accident scene, came across a blood soaked baby, moi, and they raised me to be evil."

The thing is that Verbist is actually regarded as one of our 'better' referees. He finished above e.g. De Bleeckere in the players' polls by last year and the years before if I'm not mistaken.

De Bleeckere is simply lucky that some of the top referees retired last year and he's the only Belgian around with some international experience. The guy's a joke, as well as the KBVB nowadays
