Or another frustration-thread.
Following Belgium-Spain, Belgium u21-Ukraine u21, Antwerp-Kortrijk and the much alive discussion about the belgian youth-training that's pretty much my opinion. Screw the so called footballing sollutions and attacking displays. It's all been a bit too much for me. Attacking football just doesn't pay off anymore.
In these games mentionned above we were technical or/and footballing the better team and in all these games we eventually got nothing but dissapointing and bitter defeats.
The past 2 years we have been unfluenced too much by those so called 'analyst' to 'make the game' and since then about everything in belgian football has gone downhill.
We didn't play good football between 4-8 years ago (but in contrary to now we did win our games.) and neither did Greece when they won the EC. Spain created 2 chances against us, Ukraine did nothing but kick long balls and Kortrijk had 4 chances on set pieces and counters but they did score all of them. I suggest we should just go back to our roots and do what we did the past 20 years. Let the other team come, we'll defend and hit them on the counter like we did back then.
Away with the likes of Verbiest, Lavan, Messoudi or Buffel. Back in with a Pinxten, Verheyen or Wilmots.
Back with charachters that's how we frightened Caesar.
