Less then a week to go to Anderlecht's first game in the CL. How would you handle it to take some points away from Old Trafford ?

I would start with some sort of 4-5-1 like i earlier said.

Dheedene__De Boeck__Staelens__Crasson

This might be offensive but it's the best way to play there. When you are going to play too defensive you will be under pressure for 90 minutes.

Koller will get a lot of support from Goor and Aruna on the wings. Stam won't sleep for a whole week after this game. Aruna and Goor can go by the Neville bro's on speed and Barthez will see more then one ball fly in the nets

The midfield of Man U is their best part IMO. With Beckham they have someone with a deadly cross. But Dheedene (in the form of his live) is able to keep Beckham. The left side with Giggs is the most dangerous one. Because of the offensive Aruna Crasson will have to do this on his own. That could be the bad part in this system. Also the upcoming Scholes is always dangerous. That's why Vanderhaeghe will have to do his defensive job. Baseggio can hop in to help and distribute the ball. Stoica is the joker. He will get a free role to infiltrate etc..

When Anderlecht controls the midfield the central defenders won't have a too hard job and keep Yorke-Cole from a goal on the few chances they get.

Am i too optimistic ? This seems too easy

Sure Dheedene can take on spicegirl beckham, just don't let him cross and it's ok. i'm real really afraid from giggs though ! On the other hand if Crasson, Stoica and Vanderhaeghe manage to keep him sweet and never loose control of Scholes (he scores soo easily ). i'm sure we can take them

I do hope Anderlecht can get some points in England, because then they would really have a chance to continue in the CL.
So i would go with the 5-4-1

Good chance to keep the midfielders busy and with Koller keeping pressure on the Man defense you never know.
