I'm not sure about this, but I think AA Gent bought him. He has to replace Ole Martin Arst who left for Standard. Last year Arst was co-topscorer with 30 goals. He scored that many, 'cause of the system Gent played in and not because he's talented. Still Gent had to look for a new striker and they chose Kaklamanos. I think because he's physically the same type as Arst: someone big who has the body of a targetman. Still Arst scored almost all the chances he had and Kaklamanos doesn't!
The game against Akranes you referred to was a disgrace for Belgian soccer. Gnet was nowhere, but yes Kaklamanos scored twice (the first was really, really beautifull!). Still he got a lot of critisism over him. His passong is weak and he still misses too many chances!
He reminds me at Koller when he played his first year in Lokeren. That doesn't mean anything 'cause nobody understood what the Lokeren scouts saw in this tall clumsy forward. Still Koller got the time to train and to improve, with the result we can now see.
Of course I don't know if Kaklamanos can do the same, honestely I don't think he got it in him. It will be hard 'cause unlike Koller Kaklamanos won't get the time to improve. Gent doesn't seem to realise that their UEFA-cup ticket was a miracle (due to their coach Sollied who left for Brugge). They only have qualities to end 10e. Therefore I'm afraid their will be a lot of pressure specially on their forwards who have to replace Arst.
So I think it will be hard for him, but if he manages to show things like that first goal, who knows... .
If you want to know more about AA Gent read my topic 'The Season of... AA Gent'. I posted it about 2 or 3 weeks ago!
About ICQ I'm going to download it so I get back to you on that!
