The prestigious awards:
Player Awards
Best Goalkeeper : Casillas (probably on par with VD Sar but Casillas proved more decisive)
Best Defender: Ramos
Best Midfielder: Schweini
Best Forward: Arshavin
Best Player: Arshavin
Best Young Player: Arshavin (sorry if this sounds repetitive)
Biggest Flop: Luca Toni and the entire French and Greek teams
Biggest Surprise: Türkiye

Other Awards:
Best Goal: the first Russian goal against Sweden (great team display) or maybe the Turkish equaliser against Croatia
Best Match: maybe I am biased because I supported Turkey, but Croatia-Turkey had more emotions in a few minutes than the average game. Holland-Russia was superb as well.
Best Coach: Fatih Terim worked in by far the most difficult circumstances and still got to the semi finals.

I miss a few awards by the way.
Worst coach (would be a close tie between Donadoni, Rehhagel and Domenech)
Worst game
Best set of fans
Best referee

Player Awards
Best Goalkeeper: Buffon
Best Defender: Sergio Ramos
Best Midfielder: Xavi
Best Forward: Torres
Best Player: Torres (he wore out teams, only for Villa and Guiza to get the glory)
Best Young Player: Hmmm, need to think about this one...
Biggest Flop: France (when some of the players said he couldn't play the last match because their mind wasn't in the right place, then after losing Domenach proposes to his girlfriend on the pitch - that sealed it for me)
Biggest Surprise: Turkiye - even I thought they wouldn't get past the group stage

Other Awards:
Best Goal: Nihat's winner vs. Czech republic
Best Match: Turkiye vs. Czech Republic
Best Coach: Hiddink

Why do so many people name Buffon as best goalkeeper?! Van der Sar and Casillas were much more decisive for their team, I'd even say Akinfeev was shining more.

I can't believe how many people voted Ramos for defender. He was great during the knockouts but awful during the group stages. I would vote for him but I am extremely biased. I wouldn't have thought so many non-Madrid fans would have voted for him.

For instance, Ramos didn't even make it into the squad of the tournament. Ofcourse neither did Silva.

Best Goalkeeper: Buffon - Casillas shone brighter during the decisive stages, yes, but Italy only went as far as they did because of the great Buffon. Van der Sar comes in 3rd.
Best Defender: Marchena, followed by Puyol and Zhirkov.
Best Midfielder: Xavi, with Schweinsteiger coming 2nd and Senna on 3rd.
Best Forward: Fernando Torres, with Arshavin in 2nd and Pavlyuchenko in 3rd.
Best Player: Xavi.
Best Young Player: If Modric qualifies, he's my choice. Good player.
Biggest Flop: Luca Toni. What a crap tournament this guy had.
Biggest Surprise: (You never expected them to do that well): As a team, Turkey; as an individual player, Marcos Senna.

Other Awards:
Best Goal: Sneijder's against France.
Best Match: Russia vs Holland.
Best Coach: The great Guus Hiddink, of course. How could it be anyone else?
