Congrats Russia!

Congrats to Russia....after the end of the Soviet Union first time they make something at national team level,a great achievement semi final in the euro 2008...and above all they try to play football,Spain is just too good at the moment for anyone.

Hiddink should stay for the wc 2010 qual.Russia didn't have 4/5 players in this euro who will be in the wc 2010 qua squadl and will give a fight to Germany for directly qual, good luck.

The performance today was disappointing, but the overall achievement is something I can be proud of.

1 good game. Everything else is bollocks. The two minions they faced in the group phase were among the worst in the tournament. Hiddink failed, they only played two good games during his reign (Holland and previously England). Smell the coffee, you brainwashed twats.

Spain is in the final,Greece was european champion and people forget Sweden record since 2002 in major tournaments, arrived always to the knock out stages.

Plus Russia pass the qf stage where no one expect that whether it was against italy, france or holland.

In the end a third place a great achievement ahead of the likes of italy, france,Portugal,Holland.

FC Porto were CL champs, should we fear them for the next four years?

Sweden, I don't rate them that highly, maybe it's because thats another team Croatia beats with ease often

 Spain was the only team left in the semifinals that could outplay Russia like that. Russian football will only grow from here on out

Group D was probably tied with Group A for the second toughest group. I like how people are downplaying Russia's accomplishments after these same people didn't even have them making it out of the group.

Either you are schizophrenic or you have an amazing capacity of contradicting yourself...or maybe both.

How can you have the nerve to open a thread praising Russia when you were claiming in these same boards over and over again that they had an absolute shite team and coach as late as after the first game against Spain?

Well Spain is just a differently level from the rest player by player.

Russia made a great run,no doubt....the coach made some poor player selection, leving some players out but the result speak for himself.
