Why wouldn't Villa start? Did he pick up a second yellow or something?

i think the pavlyuchenko- arshavin combo will give spain a lot of problems.

the previous group match has no significance as with arshavin in the russia team, everything seems to click.

Huh, I'm sure Villa will play. I don't think he has 2 yellows yet, but I think its important for Spain to be humble and to be focused as opposed to considering the group match too much because this is a different Russia team. I think as long as the team can play as tactical as they did today but still keep the football then I think they can win. But they need to move the ball faster and be more direct, Torres and Villa need more service and oxygen from the midfield.

Now lets see how good this Russian team really is, now that they're facing Spain again, and that they're not the underdogs anymore.

Spain wont be so lucky to have someone liek Toni miss a thousand chances alone, but yet at the same time they wont have to deal with Chiellini and De Rossi. we'll see how aragones plays it, but they need to pick up the pace against russia.

They might have Arshavin back, but their best defender is out.

Kolodin was the ideal player for Torres and Villa though, as he is a brilliant footballer but not really the best at mobility.

The Russians are wetting their pants right now.

España will cruise to the finals

I must say that if Turkey would not make it to the final (which I do fear given the number of players missing) I will root in the final for whoever wins Spain-Russia. I have been enjoying both teams well so I wouldn't mind Spain nor Russia winning the tournament.

Remember that Arshavin didn't play in the first game... this match it's going to be a harder one, we shoulnd't be overconfident.

Respect for Russia.

Why should they when they played so much better than Spain against the team that crushed Spain's QF opponent just days ago? Kolodin or no Kolodin, this promises to be a completely different game than the one in the group which already had a rather flattering result for you. But I think your players will not share your attitude.

Anyway, I think Hiddink is a better coach than Aragones and Russia are on a row, seem fitter than Spain, if they sort out their defence somehow, they can win and I really hope they do win.

“But we're a university! We have to have a library!" said Ridcully. "It adds tone. What sort of people would we be if we didn't go into the library?"

"Students," said Senior Wrangler morosely.”

This game isn't nearly as cut and dry as most people would think.

Yes Spain has an awesome side but the Russian side I saw against the Dutch looks extremely dangerous.

A Russian win here wouldn't take me by surprise.

No disrespect to the Spanish fans but I'm really pullin for Russia here.
