Should be interesting

You'll win. You'll play to win. But whatever the result, you were always winners in my heart and champions. And you'll stay that way. GOD HELP YOU!

2000000 Turks live in Germany, of whom 115000 here in Berlin. My area (Wedding district of town) is 50% Turkish in terms of population. Berlin will be a divided city one day again, and the whole city will be in trance with this game. Because of the German-Turkish connection, this game is bound to become an epic even before the first ball gets kicked.

Benefit: regardless who wins, the city will be a party zone. I just hope that we can all celebrate together, Germans and Turks, regardless who wins. But i hope for Turkey to win and go all the way of course. Bring that trophy to Istanbul!

I will say 2-1 Germany, but you can't count out Turkey anymore.

Turkey deserves to be admired for their heart and desire, but the odds are heavily against them. They'll probably succumb to Germany due to the suspensions and fatigue. 4-0 to Germany. Though, nobody can rule out the Turks completely...

RIP Turkey

My weekly rant!

27th May 1965: Over 16,000 days.

"For a moment there I returned to my youth, the early youth, when all nice illusions were gathered together. Then life came and, like a strong wind, blew them away, one by one. What we call happiness is sometimes the accordance between our life and circumstances, our biography and history, our personal aspirations and historical currents. If I look at things that way, I can say: I was born too early to be happy. But birth is one of the many things we do not get to choose. It is part of our destiny."

There is no easy win at a such high level of football, so wake up...

We may have been without our 10 or more missed players including the ones not in the squad...But, we wouldnt surrender for the heck! Germany, on the other hand, are clearly favorites and a powerhouse of football, the most difficult rival for us along with Holland.

Considering Germany's ability to raise their game when it matters, the fact that Turkey had to go into extra time and they're missing key players, it should be a game that Germany should surely win.

That is a good point, Germany is surely a powerhouse in world football and teams like this always find a way to get the job done. I also don't expect them to choke like Croatia.

On the flip side in every game Turkey has won we haven't had a full squad. Our team has been getting through on pure grit, emotion and hard work rather than skills.

Conventional wisdom says Germany should win this game but at this point I really wouldn't count our boys out, they'll fight till the end.

Turkey have managed to reach two major tournament semi-finals this century. Very impressive.

Actually it's great since they didn't qualify for Euro 2000 nor Euro 2004 neither did they qualify for World Cup 2006

So it means that they went to semi finals in their only tournaments this century
