Romania vs Holland

With Holland assuring qualification This is Romania's chance to qualify

Will the Dutch give Romania a win for them to qualify or will they play a hard game?

With RVP and Robben back with the team the Dutch is at their best, will Romania is without Goian who is suspended and Radoi who got injured

The Netherlands and Romania will need no introduction to each other when they contest their final Group C fixture in Berne.

• This will be the third meeting in the space of 15 months between two countries who were pitted against each other in the qualifying campaign for UEFA EURO 2008™.

• Romania came out on top then, holding the Netherlands to a 0-0 draw in Rotterdam in March 2007 before beating them 1-0 in Constanta last October through Dorin Goian's 71st-minute goal. Victor Piţurcă's side duly took first place in Group G – three points clear of the Oranje.

• The teams for their qualifying match on 13 October 2007 were:
Romania: Bogdan Lobonţ, Dorin Goian, George Ogǎraru, Răzvan Raţ, Gabriel Tamaş, Cristian Chivu, Bănel Nicoliţă, Paul Codrea, Ovodiu Petre, Ciprian Marica, Adrian Mutu.

Netherlands: Maarten Stekelenburg, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Johnny Heitinga, André Ooijer, Joris Mathijsen, Wilfred Bouma, Demy de Zeeuw, Rafael van der Vaart, Clarence Seedorf, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Arjen Robben.

Congratulations in advance to Romania.

Nevertheless, hup Holland!

"Hup Holland"? I was looking for this sentence when the French played the Dutch. How do you pronounce it?

Marica declared that he wants the Dutch to play with their best team.

Do you rest players or do not risk a finely tuned machine and not change a thing?

I'm not sure how much easier it will be for Romania. They gotta be playing against huntelaar and maybe even van persie and robben.

Exactly, and of course, the subs will want to impress the boss big time to prove their worth and to win a starting spot.

Well UEFA has done it!
They appointed a "Swiss referee" with an Italian background for this game - Massimo Busacca....How is this possible????

This isn't right!!!
How would the Italins had felt if the Swiss referee had a Romanian background???

Don't worry, he has a Sicilian background so he won't leave marks.

Holland with the subs and zero tension to win the game... Romania have the chance of their lives.

The fact Romania have to come out and attack could surely favour Holland though if the motivation is there.

On a serious note, I don't think Romania will let go of this chance.
2-1 to them probably

Be interesting to see how Bouma does if Mathijsen's given a rest. Mathijsen sometimes gives me the jitters by the way he defends. Also his passing.

Motivation is the key word there. For Holland, this is almost a friendly without their best XI, with the head in the QFs. For Romania, the game of their lives. I bet for Romania, necessity will probably make the difference.
