Greece vs. Russia

Since Rehhagel used 5 defenders against Sweden, why doesnt he double up the ante and use 10 defenders against Russia!

I sure hope Greece plays differently and much better than the Sweden match

If Rehhagel goes with this approach to play defensive football against a Russian side that has their strong side in attacking play with their combinations and fast passing then he's just inviting Greece for a asswhopping...

I would play like this:
Nikopolidis
Torosidis - Kyrgiakos - Antzas - Spyropoulos
Katsouranis - Basinas - Karagounis
Charisteas - Gekas - Amanatidis

Even though I frigging hate Nikopolidis and want Tzorvas instead (Chalkias is more or less the same shit but worse on crosses and a better shotstopper, sometimes) and no frigging Charisteas, we have nothing better. Lymperopoulos could be interesting as he always works hard but I feel that he's too damn slow and Samaras is nothing special really. Salpingidis could be an option but he has noway the technique to play on the right side (ok, Charisteas doesn't have that either).

So... Giannakopoulos on the Charisteas position?

This is close to a must win for both teams, especially for Greece as you guys have to play Spain in the last match. I think this will be one of th tournaments most entertaining matches. Russia will play with an all out attack right away and this is the line-up I want to see.

I hope Greece wins this one , provided you play like in qualifying and not vs Sweden. Should be a tough game though. Both teams need to win, should be a cracker

R.I.P. Tazz, good times in Bim we had.

It depends...
If Otto goes back to the 4-3-3 we had during the qualifies, it could be quite an entertaining game but Otto is VERY stubborn and this damn 5-4-1 was a joke in all sense. If we play that, then you will win for sure, no doubt about that.

If we don't play 4-3-3 I genuinely hope Russia beats us 4-0.

After the shit against Sweden I want a decent performance for Greece, even if we loose.

Personally I like Greek people (they are very friendly and outward) so I'm sorry to say this but if I see another 5-4-1 formation, I want Greece too lose badly!

Viva Real Madrid y España!

You're _by far_ the most boring team in the tournament so far. Why would my comment have anything to do with four years ago?

Russia has better chances to win this one,

but I hope "the anti-football masters" will have a good day and win
even with a Russian own goal.

I hope we win with a shot that deflects off the referee and hits the inside of both posts before hitting the Russian keeper on the arse and going in
