Too early to say, I can still recall how everyone said that Spain would thrash France before their second round clash in WC 2006.

Anyway, I had predicted a Germany-Holland final a long ago, let's see.

Spain _did_ thrash France. France played 5 minutes of football in that match, and benefitted from a Thierry dive and a Puyol blunder.

no matter how well Spain plays the first few matches I never trust them, same for Holland. I do see Italy or France sneaking in no matter how shit they look.

Too early to say. Spain thrashed Ukraine 4-0 in the last WC and look what happened. I won't believe it until we are actually in the semi-finals. Hate to be pessimistic, but too many disappointments. Yesterday was a good start, but Spain has a long way to go still.

Viva Real Madrid y España!

Redefining words always works. Spain thrashed France and it was only through the dark forces of the universe that they mysteriously lost anyway.

La Juve? Lasciamo perdere.

Would be logical but if teams like France always struggle in group stage we have the style of play which fits perfectly well for knockout games.

Then the finals would be perfectly set for some nice rivalries.

Spain-Portugal

Holland-Germany.

Either one looks very mouthwatering.

I would like a match vs Spain...

In our anthem, the last line of the first verse is:

"The King of Spain I always have honoured".

And of course, I think it will be a advert for football.

"Always look on the bright side of life"

watch the match and you see Zidane so deep he is almost like a DM, you may have beaten Spain but it was not because your football was superior by any stretch of the imagination.

On the matter I doubt Spain will make the semi's, they will struggle as soon as a team exposes there lack of balance in defending and there inability to sustain pressure, especially overtly intense direct and physical footballing pressure a la France in 2006.
