Switzerland - Turkey

Wednesday 20:45 CET

The first rematch of the two sides after the infamous play-off to the last world cup which saw some pretty disturbing scenes towards the end of it.

Now however both sides have come off defeats in their opening ties and will be looking to inject some new life into their Euro 2008 campaigns. A win will be what is needed.

Switzerland however will be without Alexander Frei and Turkey without Gokhan Zan.

What the outcome will be...I do not know but surely the hosts will have more luck than in their opener where they deserved to get more out of the game and surely Turkey will improve from the rather disappointing performance they gave against Portugal.

Lex Immers - Pace & power. Holland's #1 box to box player

Feyenoord forum - the place to talk about this phenomenon

It'll definitely be interesting to watch this game, both teams have to win to keep their chances alive as well.

I'm more curious about the 3rd half

I think it will be a draw, maybe 2-2, a good couple of bookings and at least one red card, maybe two.

I don't know what I hate more, the swiss provoking especially with dirtbags like magnin or our coach Fatih Terim. Equal level of hate for both but I always want my team to wreak havoc, maybe someone can take Fatih Terim out of this tournament for us??

Turkey to win. Fairly confident in that prediction.

i think Turkey can win. It doesn't hurt that Frei is out though, he was the player i feared the most on their team

Is it true that if you don't use it, you lose it?

Ok, sorry, you knew it.
Btw, One Question: Turkish fans still have a grudge against Swiss people because you were bad hosts 3 years ago?

Bad hosts? were there any actions by the fans (except for the opening ceremony ) that can call our fans bad hosts. The fans were brilliant it's fat fukk Fatih Terim and the ever instigative swiss team.

They instigate and provoke the whole game and when jaws are broken and ribs crushed they whine and cry like they're the victims, orospu cocuklari.

First of all, no intention to say Turkish people are bad. Good and Bad people are overall. I met and know some turkish people here and find them nice people. What I believe is that you are a proud country and get more easily over-excited.
In my opinion, after what happened, there should have been immediately some clear apologies from the Turkish side (from politicians perhaps) then Swiss side could have said "that's ok, perhaps we should have behaved better too" and probably there would have been less problems, grudge. rage, or whatsoever, between the 2 nations.
But in our society (everywhere) it's more and more difficult too find humble people who can genuinely say "i am sorry". Today people prefer to attack instead of saying sorry...
