France. Any team that prefers players like Thuram (in current shape), Cisse, Boumsong etc. instead of Sagna, Clichy, Trezeguet deserves to flop.

Let the field do the talking....

Thuram? We also bring Mexes so why are you worried? Thuram has got experience and we all know how important it is in International competitions especially in the defense area.

Cissé? He is a 4th choice anyway... We have Benzema, Henry and Anelka ahead of him. I would tend to say that Cissé fits our NT system of play better than Trez who failed to do anything good within the NT in the past two years. I just don't care what he does at Juve as long as he is not able to reproduce it with France.

Clichy? Ever heard about Evra? Miles better than Clichy. Abidal, even with a bad season at Barca is still much more experienced.

To end this discussion, many people, french or from abroad, heavily criticized Jacquet for not selecting Cantona for the 98 world cup... he was the Mancs star at this time; the fact is that WE WON THE WORLD CUP THAT YEAR...

Portugal.

Can't say they really impressed me much when i watched them during the qualifiers, with the talent at there disposal they should have done much better. But still, they made it and that's all that matters, you can't count them out with the amount of quality individuals they possess.

Czech Republic, if you consider that a flop, they won't get out of the groups, one of the easiest qualifying routes.

Cantona retired in 97

and didn't he play his last France game in 95?

My bad. Actually, Jacquet stopped selecting Cantona in early 95 prefering a young lad called Zidane as the playmaker...

Could be a few:embarass:
Czech Republic or Portugal in later time.
Croatiaif surprises happen for group stage or later on.
Netherlands if France and Italy have their way.
and Greece and Spainif Russia and Sweden try hard enough. Or just later on in stages. I say this cuz anything can happen.:rollani:
The rest should do fine as expected

...oh and England

is Trezgoal out of France roster in this euro ?
i really don`t believe that !!
i do agree he isn`t as impressive as he`s usually at juve .
i think he hasn`t got that big chance with the nt even with the previous managers of the French team .. right ?? and that`s exactly happen with anelka who is f*** awesome with teams he played with but hasn`t any impact with the NT . it seems both anelka and trezgoal aren`t the style of strikers which French managers look at ... and i predict cisse will heat the bench in coming few years.

France!

Hopefully Nederlands and Romania get some points off them so that Italy can finish them off in the last game and send them crashing out!! What a dream scenerio that would be!

I predict Babel to be one of big stars in this euro .. he has ampressive abilities and is able to prove that .

but generally the Netherlands team will flop as usual .. they did so in recent years despite they had been trusted by their fans all over the world .

of course they have a brilliant squald , but ... !

I trust you don't win many arguments.:smileani:

No Clichy is understandable I guess. Evra can be seen as the better option. Though only a ***** would pick Clichy over Abidal since Abidal was horrendous this year.

Then No Trezeguet or Sagna considering Frances other options for right back are plain retarded.

Cantona was dropped from the NT because of his ban and was not picked later as Zidane was showing more potential.

Portugal. The coach has no clue, he'll play the likes of Petit ahead of Joao Moutinho. Nuno Gomes ahead of Hugo Almeida. Still has a sh1t keeper, no strikers. Not to mention the pressure on Ronaldo, hundreds of Spanish media are outside the teams training camp just jumping on him about the Madrid rumours. How is one supposed to play?

We'll flop, and big.

We still laugh at Croatia though.

Evra miles better than Clichy?

Tu me fais rire. Je ne c pas comment Domenech n'a pas choisi Clichy.:rollani: I'd much rather have him in our team over Evra. Either way, Abidal will start.
