I believe it's the 19th of May for Romania... At least that's when the training stage for 14 of our players ends... But those of us knowing the coach know 20 out of the 23 squad members. p

I cant wait to watch Portugal games after seeing that lineup. Should be exciting in downtown Hamilton with the Portuguese fans, obviously too with Italian & Croatian fans too... and hopefully some Poles, but not as much as in Toronto Those are the 4 major groups where I live and probably will be hearing their car horns.

Good to see Bruno Alvez there. He was fantastic with AEK, too bad porto refused to sell him to us. Any chance he will start?

That said, i'm surprised Postiga got the call. He hasent even been playing much/or well for PAO.

I would rather Lagerbäck didnt include the following:

Alexandersson - is too old, seems out of shape as well
Linderoth - Recently(still?) injured
Kennedy - Bench player in Ajax
Daniel Andersson - dont think he is good enough.

Instead I would like to see Peter Larsson, Rasmus Lindgren and Marcus Berg(i am probably forgetting someone)

Germany squad

Goalkeepers: Jens Lehmann (Arsenal London), Robert Enke (Hannover 96), René Adler (Bayer Leverkusen)

Defenders: Arne Friedrich (Hertha BSC Berlin), Marcell Jansen (Bayern München), Philipp Lahm (Bayern München), Per Mertesacker (Werder Bremen), Heiko Westermann (Schalke 04), Clemens Fritz (Werder Bremen), Christoph Metzelder (Real Madrid)

Midfielders: Michael Ballack (FC Chelsea), Thomas Hitzlsperger (VfB Stuttgart), Simon Rolfes (Bayer Leverkusen), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern München), Tim Borowski (Werder Bremen), Torsten Frings (Werder Bremen), Piotr Trochowski (Hamburger SV), Jermaine Jones (Schalke 04), David Odonkor (Betis Sevilla), Marko Marin (Borussia Mönchengladbach)

Attackers: Mario Gomez (VfB Stuttgart), Miroslav Klose (Bayern München), Lukas Podolski (Bayern München), Kevin Kuranyi (Schalke 04), Patrick Helmes (1. FC Köln), Oliver Neuville (Borussia Mönchengladbach)

This is a 26-man squad where three players will be cut before the actual tournament starts. Löws squad contains three players from 2. Bundesliga and Timo Hildebrand has been left out of the whole thing.

I personally think Manuel Neuer deserved one of the spots before Robert Enke and the fact that Löw called up 19-year old Marko Marin of Borussia Mönchengladbach was probably one of the biggest surprises today.
