OK, when I read the UEFA website I find it confusing... so in a nutshell... how and where do I get tickets for this damn tournament. Legal, illegal, I dont care just where do I get them

It seems you can get tickets as of March 2007. (WikiPedia p )

Don't lament the treachery of time;
long have dogs danced over the carcasses of lions.

Don't suppose that their dancing raises them above their masters;
for dogs remain dogs, and lions remain lions.

Insult me as you wish;
For my silence to the depraved is a response.

It's not that I have no response, but;
A lion does not reply to a dog.

Weren't the lotteries all done during the year? I think there is only a slight chance they are offering more tickets in the future. And on the UEFA website it says the tickets are personalised. Does this mean people have to show ID to get into the stadium or something? Is this done to prevent scalping? What about those who want to buy from a scalper because they were unfortunate not to get a ticket.

FIFA did that for the last World Cup, everything was personalized, no scalpers as far as i know.

AFAIK, tickets will only be available through national FAs, sponsors etc.

You kidding?

From all reports, tickets were very easy to find on the street.

They have ID but I don't believe they check. If they did, the stadiums would be partially empty something UEFA does not want.

So there is hope for those travelling over without tickets? I mean how they can possibly 100% eliminate people on selling tickets to others? The only way would be the photo ID check obviously.

Agree, I'm going even without a ticket! But if I get on hold of a ticket it will be a bonus of course.

So, any further updates people?

I've been having a look at some websites, which are selling tickets (official suppliers).

Only thing is, I live in Australia, so delivering the tickets might be a problem.

I was just reading this article: Millions of German fans clamour for Euro 2008 tickets.

With applications set to close at midnight on Tuesday, a staggering two million tickets have been requested by Germany fans for the 14,400 available for their country's three Euro 2008 pool games in Austria.

....

For each ticket, there is a five percent handling charge with an extra 20 euros (30 dollars) charge for the posting of each order.

The total price is charged to a credit card as soon as it is dispatched.

As English is not my native language... does this mean you're charged 20 euros just for posting an order (even if you don't win the ticket lottery)? That would have DFB getting 40 million euros just for the orders...

Can someone from Germany enlighten me?

No, it only applies to tickets, not orders.
