The most even of the three groups. Russia was the only team I wanted to avoid from pot 4, not because I think they are any good but because of Hiddink.

Pretty competitive group...anyone could advance...

Hopefully the two teams that play football would advance. Imagine if Greece and Sweden advance Snoozefest .

I mean Sweden not Spain.

The way the Russians tried to choke away qualification shows me they are a fraudulent team. Hiddink or not.

No Croatia to bail you out now

Glad we got the Russians. I hope we kick their "bums".

I wouldn't rate them much at all if it wasn't for Hiddink. Anybody can advance in this group, it's whoever hits their form and gets the luck I think.

I'm pleased though, could have been worse. I think we have a great chance to advance.

And who rates Greece? At least Russia can play football trhough the midfield, Greece is one of the most boring teams in this tournament.

This is how the Russia-Greece game is going to go. Russia dominates midfield and possession, while Greece try to counter attack and hit us on the set pieces.

As if we need Croatia to beat your anti-football style of play. :rollani:

Russia's a fraudulent team..haha I love that one. THis coming from a guy who's team ha snever won a match in a major tournament prior to Euro 2004 when they had to play 11 man behind the ball like a bunch of cowards to grind out their results.

We're going to show your dumb players how to play football come June, maybe you can learn something when it comes to skill.

Considering the team you follow, boredom shouldn't affect you at all.

Russia's always played descent football, Greece never has. And yes your players are stupid, just look at the style of play. That's why Otto has you play the way you do. If Greece was to open up and try to play football they'd get eaten

It takes smart players to play the way we do, because we don't play 11 men back. But I don't expect you to admit that. It's very diciplined football, and it works only as a team, as one. It's a whole cycle in motion to watch our defense (and whole team) at times, especially during the Euro. They moved up and down the field together. Many people saw and appreciated that.

But you are right, we cannot play open attacking football beause we do not have the players for it. It's not to our stengths. But I can't help to think, so what? This doesn't mean they are stupid, nor that we can't score goals. Because this team is definately better offensively.

Thats what should scare you. It's the same mentality and spirit, with defense as it's strength only this time more talented players up front, and a team that can score more goals.
