Doesn't really mean anything...The nations who've done poorly in qualifying in the past 2 tournaments but still managed have made more of an impact.

Sweden have done ok, this is the fifth consecutive tournament they qualify to.

Paulie: You're not gonna believe this. He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.

Christopher: His house looked like shit!

Sweden is probably the best qualifying team since after World Cup 98.

This is why:

45 qualifying games played in both the Euro and World Cup qualifiers, 111 points earned with the points of Euro 2008 included so far, that makes it 35 wins, 6 draws and 4 losses. One of the losses came against Latvia when Sweden had qualified for the Euro 2004, The last game of the group that time. Two of the losses came against Croatia and the last against Northern Ireland in the Euro 2008 Qualifiers.

Sweden has scored a grand total of 99 goals and allowed only 15 goals since during Lars Lagerbäcks time in the NT.

This about sums it up I guess..

Euro 2000 Qualifier:
01: Sweden - 22 points - 7 wins, 1 draw and 0 losses - 10:1
02: England - 13 points - 3 wins, 4 draws and 1 loss - 14:4
03: Poland - 13 points - 4 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses - 14:6
04: Bulgaria - 8 points - 2 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses - 6:8
05: Luxembourg - 8 points - 0 wins, 0 draws and 8 losses - 0:25

World Cup 2002 Qualifier:
01: Sweden - 26 points - 8 wins, 2 draws and 0 losses - 20:3
02: Turkey - 21 points - 6 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss - 18:8
03: Slovakia - 17 points - 5 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses - 16:9
04: FYR Macedonia - 7 points - 1 win, 4 draws and 5 losses - 11:18
05: Moldova - 6 points - 1 win, 3 draws and 6 losses - 6:20
06: Azerbadzjan - 5 points - 1 win, 2 draws and 7 losses - 4:17

Euro 2004 Qualifier:
01: Sweden - 17 points - 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss - 19:3
02: Latvia - 16 points - 5 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses - 10:6
03: Poland - 13 points - 4 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses - 11:7
04: Hungary - 11 points - 3 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses - 15:9
05: San Marino - 0 points - 0 wins, 0 draws and 8 losses - 0:30

World Cup 2006 Qualifier:
01: Croatia - 24 points - 7 wins, 3 draws and 0 losses - 21:5
02: Sweden - 24 points - 8 wins, 0 draws and 2 losses - 30:4
03: Bulgaria - 15 points - 4 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses - 17:17
04: Hungary - 14 points - 4 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses - 13:14
05: Iceland - 4 points - 1 win, 1 draw and 8 losses - 14:27
06: Malta - 3 points - 0 wins, 3 draws and 7 losses - 4:32

Euro 2008 Qualifier:
*01: Sweden - 22 points - 7 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss - 20:4
02: Spain - 22 points - 7 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses - 19:8
*03: Northern Ireland - 16 points - 5 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses - 14:11
*04: Denmark - 14 points - 4 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses - 14:8
*05: Latvia - 9 points - 3 wins, 0 draws and 6 losses - 9:11
06: Iceland - 8 points - 2 wins, 2 draws and 6 losses - 10:21

Sweden had 25 matches before losing to Latvia in that unimportant game back in late 2003.

Let's see if Croatia can break that, they surely have a impressive streak at the moment IMO.

That would be a streak from 5/9 1998 to 11/10 2003.

That's over 5 years

We would have to not lose to England in Wembley to break that record

Croatia can do it, but it's going to be tight IMO.

Neither was I, when Croatia didn't make it out of groupstages in the actual tournaments
