done. Just checking, this is the Republic we're talking about and not the North right?

Ireland for me btw. I reckon they can do the Czechs while Scotland who def have improved got the Ukraine to contend with too, not forgetting France and Italy

Lex Immers - Pace & power. Holland's #1 box to box player

Feyenoord forum - the place to talk about this phenomenon

I think you've got this one the wrong way round Ciaran - I said that I don't think Ireland have a better chance of qualifying in their group than what scotland has

Did you also edit your post to indicate that over half your team are imports that have crossed the Irish Sea in-order to play for your lot? p

At least they're good

Wasnt everyone in Scotland desperate for De Vries to stay for another year so he could play for Scotland?

We've no chance. Both World Cup finalists in one group pretty much guarantees that.

That's a fine start for your inexperienced manager in your warm up game at lansdown road Ciaran, ya still sure that you'll walk away with 1st place in your qualifying group? p

We're simply lulling the Germans into a false sense of security

What Darragh said

It is actually very worrying, but then again, the Czechs lost aswell.

Very close. They are both comparable teams and their groups are comparable as well. I think Ireland has a better chance because Czech Rep. are declining but Slovakia is still very dangerous. The battle for 2nd in Group D will be interesting for sure.

For those who don't know this is what Scotland and Ireland's groups look like:

Group B

Georgia
Ukraine
France
Italy
Scotland
Lithuania
Faroe Isl.

Group D

Cyprus
Germany
Rep. Ireland
Wales
San Marino
Slovakia
Czech Rep.

I predict France, Italy and Germany, Slovakia. I would like to see one of these teams make it, though.

Never seen this thread before!

ROI have got a tough group, the Czechs looked very lathargic in the World Cup but I expect them to still be one of the qualifiers along with Germany. I dont think Ireland will qualify.

Scotland on the contrary will win their group, yes you seen it right first time, I am cleary high on amphetamines

Na I cant see us doing it, I believe we are an improved Nation with lots of young talent but it would take a massive stroke of luck for us to qualify past the two World Cup finalists and the Ukraine.

Well for the support shown to Croatia by Scotland over the last few years (which I really value) I have given my vote and my best wishes to Scotland to qualify!!!

Good luck SCOTLAND even though it will be a battle!!!
