ECQ- Group G

Last but not least group G

P W D L F A GD PTS
1 Albania 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
2 Belarus 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
3 Bulgaria 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
4 Holland 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
5 Luxembourg 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
6 Romania 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
7 Slovenia 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

Bar Luxembourg, a lot of tricky away trips for my boys. Romania once again and now Bulgaria too who surely will aim to do better than in the previous qualifying campaign under Stoichkov. Slovenia are alright but I actually fear the away trips to Albania and Belarus more than to Ljubljana. Minsk cos they beat us 1-0 in 95 while Tirana always is a tricky place to go for any side as Greece found out last time out.
We'll also have to fit a couple of internationally inexperienced players like Schaars and Huntelaar into the team, so it's definitely no guarantee that it'll be plain sailing for us.

Nevertheless my hopes to go through are Holland and Bulgaria cos of Berbagoal.

maybe because I'm "biased" and know more about Slovenia than Romania p I think it will be down to those two for the runners up spot. Bulgaria talk big but then they lose 3:0 in their own stadium

super tough group for all - Holland is teh favourite, but they will have very hard time in Buchurest, Sofia, Minsk and Ljubliana; even in Tirana. Very tough. 2nd spot is up for graps, with romania the favourite and Bulgaria and Slovenia close for 3rd. We shall see.

I think this will be the moment for the return of Romania to the international football scene. Their clubs have been brilliant in Europe and I honestly think they can win this group. Holland will make it too without much problems.

Albania....don't give a damn about the 2nd team

Albania will be looking at an influx of talent for these games, new players entering the folds. Though on the flip side the inexperience might prove to be very costly.

One point in Romania would be good for you, but it´s not definitive. There are other dangerous rivals where Bulgaria or Romania can choke. Plus Romania can get the same result in Bulgaria.
