Sporting in World Soccer's Youth Top Ten.

World Soccer's latest issue has an article on Portuga;'s young talent. Four of our boys made the top 10.

1. Hugo Viana (Sporting)
2. Tiago (Sporting Braga)
3. Helder Postiga (Porto)
4. Ednilson (Benfica)
5. Bosingwa (Boavista)
6. Quaresma (Sporting)
7. Miguel (Benfica)
8. Beto II (Sporting)
9. Toni (Benfica)
10. Lourenco (Sporting)

Not a bad representation for SCP, but I thought Quaresma would be higher. I do agree, however, that Viana could be the better pro of the two. He already has a strong command of the midfield duties.

I read that article as well. I too believe Quaresma should be rated higher. If he matures in the next couple of years he will be better than Viana, don't you think?

SCP soccer school is the best or top 3

I cant argue with that SCP has to me the best school just like ManU used to have,Sporting have so many players to come up through their system,congrats........

It's great to see a Portuguese school in top ten lists(I see Hugo Viana as a great future star 2 he played a great game against FCP also R.Q 2 is a great player..

keep it up.

I like Helder Postiga out of FCP also(just needs more weight)

If Quaresma gets a game to go along with all the flair and skill, then yes. However, at this point I think Viana has much better understanding of the game and has really been crucial to Sporting's good play. Until he showed up, we had not had a midfield organizer of any merit since Duscher and Delfim led us to the title two years ago.

Right now, we can live without Qauresma. Hell, some games he's invisible and then others he's brilliant. Viana is always solid, imo.
