Salgueiros 1 - Sporting 5 - 2001/02 Portuguese League

Goals by

3' [0 - 1] Joao Pinto

67' [1 - 2] Jardel

76' [1 - 3] Niculae

80' [1 - 4] Jardel (pen.)

88' [1 - 5] Quaresma

That's Quaresma's first league goal and first of many, I hope. I haven't seen any of the highlights, but if somebody does, please tell me how he scored.

Man, Sporting's offense is getting sick. 17 goals in three games is ridiculous. If this is what Boloni's team is like in full form (granted, not exactly top competition) then we are going to be very scary for the rest of the league (and maybe Europe )

Quaresma took the ball from midfield dribbled past 2 defenders and put it right in the left top corner!!!!

-But I was very impressed by Hugo Viana's passes incredible

-Jardels first goal was also nice but not better than his pass to Niculae to make it 3-1! Jardel did that behind the other leg kick he does, where he takes his right foot and swings it behind his left leg and passed it to Niculae who never ever misses chances like that!

Who said Niculae and Jardel couldn't co-exist? Jardel isn't always looking to shoot anymore he is actually trying to find the open man!

I must admit I'm very impressed. I thought Jardel and Nicu would get in each other's way and compete for balls but they are playing beautifully. Nicu can play the support forward role and that's exactly what he needed to do.

what we needed all the time is staring to work for us
and that is two finishers of the ball
anyway i would like to see all those white Hankerchiefs now
all we need is time
we now have the ability to be a world powerhouse

Thanks, but I'm at work and nowhere near my TV. I guess I'll just have to imagine how great his goal was. Shouldn't be too hard.

That's for RTP i. The news are on right now, and the sports news must be coming soon. They'll probably show the goals.

Really easy! The sports news are shown almost at the end of the Telejornal. BUT…if they’re really important news, they can be shown as the top story, and hence the reason why they are shown first.

:nervous: I knew you would be upset. So I called them again and they ask for your forgiveness and said they're sending you a fruit basket as an apology. Don't ask me... Damn, RTP people.
