Liga 12/13, J4| SPORTING 2-1 Gil Vicente| Alvalade, 24.09.2012, 21:15 CET

Under pressure. That's how Sá Pinto must feel right now, although to be honest those that should feel it much more than him are those that allowed him, and more importantly the club, to be in this situation. I do not hide that I never expected him to do more than what he is doing so far but I have to understand his words in yesterday's press conference. He has been the target of all sorts of dirty attacks by our self-entitled sports press. Scum is what they are.

Tonight we are facing Gil Vicente, a team that is still undefeated and that is yet to concede a goal - and they already played Porto. We should expect a very large bus full of Galos de Barcelos in front of their goal with a couple of fast players on the counters.

The great news are the XI players that Sá Pinto decided to field tonight as starters. It is so full of surprises that I am not even sure in which tactical system we will play. Maybe it will be something like this:

Rui Patrício

Cédric - Xandão - Marcos Rojo - Insúa

Rinaudo

Diego Capel - Izmailov - Pranjic

Viola - Ricky van Wolfswinkel

Only good news: Fito "DEUS" Rinaudo is back. Insúa back at LB. Pranjic keeps the place in the first XI. Izmailov will play as 10 (I hope!). The much awaited debut of Valentín Viola.

Today more than ever...

FORÇA SPORTING!!!!!

At 7' 0-1 to Gil Vicente by Luis Carlos after a blunder, another one, by Xandão. He doesn't really know how he controlled that ball with his chin but that's luck for ya. :rollani:

Great shot by Izmailov that goes just wide.

At 39' Pranjic goes off injured and is replaced by Labyad.

Sá Pinto bet everything on this game and changed the tactical system fielding for the first time since he is in charge of Sporting a 4x4x2. We started in full force creating two great goal chances in the first 5' by Pranjic and Capel but it was Gil Vicente to score a goal not knowing very well how they did it. Xandão blasts the ball against the body of an opponent player, Cédric fails to intercept it, Luís Carlos tumbles with the ball and finally shoots and scores. That was the first and only shot by Gil Vicente in the whole first half.

We obviously accused the blow of that stupid goal but still kept pressing and attacking even if too often too eager. More chances were created being the biggest the one created in the last moment of the first half with Viola blasting a missile against the crossbar.

We are taking risks by introducing a completely new tactical system in such an important game like this but these risks are crucial. Would like to see Capel going off and Carrillo coming in.

Great shot by Insua saved for a corner. Another great shot by Rinaudo just wide. We are completely on top of them.

Luis Carlos now was almost scoring the second...without knowing how. Patrício saved with his right foot.
