Our road to Jamor will have another obstacle tonight with THE derby of Lisbon bringing good ol' Belém to Alvalade, a game full of history but that unfortunately seems far to be repeated at league level in the near future, as Belenenses doesn't seem capable once again to fight for promotion to the top tier of our football.

Domingos was clear in his pre-match interview: our main obstacle in this tournament will be to underestimate any of the opponents still in it. It's true that our two main rivals are already out but that should not make us take the foot out of the pedal on this one.

In that sense it is logical that, on the contrary to what "The master of tactics" did last Saturday, our coach will not rotate the squad and play a full strength line-up to be able to guarantee our passage to the Quarter Finals.

Here's the official line-up for the game starting in half an hour:

Rui Patrício
João Pereira - Onyewu - Polga - Insúa
Daniel Carriço
Elias - Schaars
Bojinov - van Wolfswinkel - Diego Capel

Bench: Marcelo Boeck, Evaldo, Santiago Arias, André Santos, André Martins, André Carrillo and Diego Rubio.

Two dangerous shots by Schaars with one minute of difference between them.

Belenenses playing with 11 men on their last third. Atrocious football.

0-0 at HT

A dull first half with Belenenses obviously inspired by Benfica's parked bus tactics. We had 68% of ball possession but in terms of goal chances things were balanced: they had two plucky goal chances, one very well saved by Rui Patrício and the other going wide very close to the post, and we had two good shots by Schaars.

This score is also our fault as we are playing slowly and the option for Carriço instead of André Santos as DM, particularly in this type of game, really does not convince me, as he has no technical capacity to take responsibility for the attacking transitions, which he should be doing tonight as the two midfielders are being man marked all over the pitch. Bojinov is also back to his invisble mode and that obviously doesn't help.

We need some Peruvian spice to break this bank.

Domingos makes the obvious change at HT: Bojinov subbed by André "La Culebra" Carrillo. Habla tigre!

SPORTING 2-0 Belenenses - FT

A different second half with Sporting scoring three beautiful goals (only two sanctioned by the ref) which obviously made Belenenses ultra-defensive tactics crumble like a sand castle.

Good game by Schaars, Capel, van Wolfswinkel and nice details of the subs André Martins and Santiago Arias.

Quarter finals next.

No real surprise here, top first division team playing at home should have beaten' Belenenses, looks like you'll only have to worry about Maritimo and Nacional
