Liga R15| SPORTING 2-1 Braga, Alvalade, 08.01.2011

It's always a pleasure to go to Alvalade and even more of a pleasure to watch Sporting win deservedly as it happened in the last game of the first half of this 2010/11 season played last saturday.

Of course that this game will be marked more than anything else by our young gun Diogo Salomão, whom had just signed a contract extension a few days before the game. He did not start the game on the pitch but came in after only 7' due to Postiga's injury. His impact was immediate: he scored a fantastic goal, brought speed to the last third of our game and let Jaime Valdés roam into the central area of our attacking line, where he should always be playing.

We scored twice in the space of 2 minutes and could even have had a third goal in less than 5' if the referee was not called Bruno Paixão. Still that double blow was too much for Braga and we deservedly ended up getting the 3 points and a third consecutive win.
