Such a negative attitude, relax guy, if there's one thing your team knows how to do is win a European game after choking at home, i'd be surprised if you dont win.
good luck

Levski is leading the Bulgarian league, and having good results. Balakov said that Levski will be a tough match for Sporting.

but thanks for the GL

Im already thinking about 2011/12, I just hope our europea league run can go well enough

SCP-87, this is what I was talking when I called Sporting mediocre, and you freaked out.

First place in the Bulgarian league...who the hell cares? Top teams--like the so called Big 3 in Portugal--should win this fixture handily.

Why do you care about Sporting? After all we are just a mediocre mid table team from Portugal. Was your sister attacked by a Juve Leo fan or something?

I follow Portuguese football, no one team in particular.

I just find this SCP-87 to be a bit of an odd-ball. First he gets very defensive when I call Sporting mediocre--understandable, perhaps--but here he is claiming that Sporting are in for a very tough match at home against a team from Bulgaria.

People from Toronto are weird. You should know that.

Balakov was a bulgarian star who used to play for Sporting, and he said this will be a tough game. so Im just using his words, as i dont know much about Levski or Bulgarian football

I was confused by the fact that you got upset at me in the Main Portuguese Thread and said "I didn't know shit about football," apparently for referring to your beloved Sporting as "mediocre", then said that Levski would provide Sporting with a really tough match.

If Sporting struggling to beat a team from Bulgaria doesn't constitute a mediocre club, then I simply don't know what does.

Sporting has been very unlucku... we produce most of the best players in Portugal. we should be alot more competitive,

but the truth is we are poorly managed, poorly financed, and have a board who lack any real ambition.

you also need to know that portuguese football is very corrupt. Just because Sporting hasnt won the league in a long time doesnt mean they deserved it, they were blatantly robbed in 2004/05 and 2006/07 seasons. we also won won a few domestic cups and reached the uefa cup finals in 2005.

the fact is that Sporting has been the 2nd most successful club in Portugal over the past decade. If we are mediocre then I wonder what that makes Benfica.

Try walking up a flight of stairs, and have someone standing near the top kick you back down whenever you are about to reach the top. that is what the corrupted establishment of Portuguese football and the media treat Sporting.. .we have to fight against everything and everyone to win anything.

Our league is better than the Bulgarian league, Guimaraes, Maritimo and Nacional would fight for the title in that league, come on man, this is a joke.
Portugal needs the point to push away Russia and the Ukraine, I'm sure that Sporting can at least tie there.

The official line-up is out for this game and not all the big surprises announced in the press this morning are confirmed...

Rui Patrício
João Pereira - Daniel Carriço - Polga - Evaldo
Maniche - Zapater
Vukcevic - Matías Fernández - Diogo Salomão
Hélder Postiga

Subs: Tiago, Abel, Torsiglieri, André Santos, Yannick Djaló, Saleiro and Liedson.

The full backs, on the contrary to what was advanced this morning, were not changed, but Liedson, Yannick and André Santos do start on the bench and are replaced by Postiga, Salomão and Zapater respectively.

I am confident we will win this one even if our worst enemy will not be the opposing team but...our own "fans".

Kick-off at 21:05 CET.

In 8 minutes Postiga already had 3 shots, 2 wide and one saved by the keeper.

Total domination from our side but until now only one shot on target. Postiga has been very lively though and he has just been (wrongly) called for an offside.
