One of the toughest away games in our league is about to start in Guimarães. Vitória just changed coaches and Paulo Sérgio will face once again Paulo Bento, after his defeat in Alvalade earlier this season when managing Paços. The pressure is therefore on both clubs although for different reasons.

Paulo Bento stressed during the last week that this game has to be won as the pressure will always be there if you're playing for Sporting. Now it's time for his squad to prove him right.

No changes from the line-up that did a very good first 30' against Ventspils in Latvia:

Rui Patrício
Abel - Tonel - Daniel Carriço - Grimi
Miguel Veloso
João Moutinho - Vukcevic
Matías Fernández
Liedson - Caicedo

Substitutes: Tiago, Pedro Silva, Adrien, Angulo, Bruno Pereirinha, Hélder Postiga and Saleiro.

Guimarães controlling so far but without creating any danger.

On the other end Caicedo just had a goal disallowed on a very dubious offside call.

Another dubious situation this time inside our box between Vukcevic and João Alves. Amazingly Olegário did not call it against us.

Grimi has been horrible, as usual, so far. Complete waste of space.

0-0 at HT

Very poor first half by Sporting, at least in what concerns any attempt to win this match. We've defended well though, as apart from Grimi's black hole, we've been able to cancel the shy attempts on goal produced by Vitória. Very very little for a title challenger.

I think Paulo Bento will probably sub off Grimi already during the break (I hope so!) and move Miguel Veloso to LB. Not sure if he will bring on Adrien or Pereirinha though.

It's confirmed. Grimi OUT (yes!), Pereirinha IN.

Caicedo has a dangerous shot just wide and right after that is subbed by Postiga.

On the contrary to what happened yesterday, Sporting gave up of a dangerous counter because a player from the opposing side was down. O Fair-Play não é, definitivamente, uma treta.

Another dubious situation this time inside Vitória's box. Vuk was in the receiving end this time.

Saleiro comes IN for Vukcevic with 13' to play.

Nice one two between Liedson and Matigol with the Chilean tapping in. Great reaction by Sporting in this second half.

1-1 at the 93rd minute. A speculative shot from outside the box throws away all the work in this second half.

1-1 FT

Sporting did not exist offensively in the first half but defended well enough to justify the clean sheet. The second half was very different as we took control of the match, created chances, scored deservedly but...this is really not our year.

Paulo Bento, what a class act. Even in a hot moment like this, after losing a precious win in the last second of the game, he has the clarity and the honesty to say that this was a fair result and do a perfectly balanced analysis of the match, including his team's faults.

Some have it, some don't.

Yes. Guimarães was very brave against us, just like it happened against you. They deserved a point in both matches.
