OMT: FC Porto 0-1 SPORTING; Dragăo, Porto, 17.03.07 - PL Round 22

The so called final arrived and at least we know one thing for certain, Sporting have to win this game if we want to maintain some kind of hope of winning this trophy this season. The odds are obviously against us. Liedson is really out and Tonel too but we have to count with those that will be there tomorrow and they have proven more than once that they are good enough to beat Porto anywhere at any time.

My guess for tomorrow's line-up is:

Ricardo

Abel -- Marco Caneira -- Anderson Polga -- Rodrigo Tello

Miguel Veloso

Nani ----- João Moutinho

Romagnoli

Bueno ---- Yannick Djaló

Paulo Bento prefered Alecs instead of Bueno, probably to keep the CBs back there.

7 Portuguese, 5 of them home made

Most of them are there for Nani; I'm trying to take anything away from Moutinho or any of the other youngsters.

Sporting is playing very well not showing any fear as it should be of a team that wants to win this game. 6-1 in corners for us in the first 30'.

We should be 1-0 up already. The midfield is ours but something (or someone...) is missing upfront :rollani:

Sporting played probably its best football so far in the season in this first half. Amazing game by Nani who is destroying Porto's kidneys. Romagnoli, Tello and of course Moutinho have been ruling the midfield and the only thing missing is really one man upfront that finishes all this...

Helton has been Porto's best player by far.

sporting is playing well, and being clearly the better team and could have scored already a couple times..

that tello shot...helton made an awesome defense there!

porto doesnt put pressure in the midfield and on attack...well its all up to quaresma really, overall poor performance from the team tonight

and whats wrong with portuguese fans? whats all that booing to their own team for....
