there are quite a lot of threads about him in Sporting's forum so I suggest you check them, but in the meantime I can assure you that from all the Portuguese players that signed until now with your club Sá Pinto is the best.

He changed his mind. Maybe he thought he would still have one more year with us but Paulo Bento and the Board told him that we didn't count with him for the next season.
I think they are right. He had his time now it's time for new blood.
I am a bit surprised that he still wants to play one more season but I suppose he might still feel that he has legs for another season and in any case you don't need much to be a star in the Belgian league...if Sérgio Conceicão did it, anyboody can.

well, don't expect Sá Pinto to be scoring goals like if he was Luca Toni or something because he is more an attacking midfielder than a striker.

That pic is hilarious!

You know I have started to hate Paulo Bento :frustrat: I know that Sa Pinto is old but he played for us for a long time so we have to do something for him!!

Paulo Bento is absolutely right in not wanting Sá Pinto to stay. Sporting is not an old people's home.

Why would you hope he continues with that theory?

If Figo wants to go back, then you'll take him back with open arms and watch him dominate the Superliga.

Figo's an exception, just like Rui Costa for Benfica.

I am not surprised that you would feel that Figo finishing his career at Sporting next season would be a bad thing for us...not surprised at all :rollani:

two guys that weren't allowed back to the NT because of their attitude.
I think that says a lot even though i think that Sergio's a bit better at this moment in their careers.
