Ricardo: Portugal's Number 1

I'll admit it; I'm content with the way he's been playing over the past couple of months. He has regained a lot of form and I'm sure he will do us proud in the WC . However, with that said I do have an interesting video. I hope you all enjoy Ricardo Frango Commercial

this thread is a clear example why I find it difficult to have more Sporting fans coming and actually staying in this site

You've got to be kidding me? There is nothing wrong with this thread; in fact, I made it to take back my comments of Ricardo some months ago. There is nothing wrong with me praising him for his current form and hoping he takes it along with him to Germany. I don't know why you found that clip so offensive , we all share jokes with one another and the clip was just another piece of humor. It actually came as a surprise, because I had just stubbled onto to it while making the thread and also surfing along youtube.

I just don't get it why you have to post it here...if you want to make fun of one of our players that's fine, but why don't you do it in your own thread?

RICARDO: Sinto-me orgulhoso e honrado
in A Bola
21.07.2006

Reflexo do Mundial

-------------------------------------------------------------

Ricardo is going to be awarded with the gold medal of the municipality of Montijo, the city were he was born.

i was being sarcastic...meaning that it annoys me when ( some) people approach others when they succeed in order to rip the benefits from something they didnt contribute to....

polititians, and local polititians in particular, are a prime example of such a behaviour ...

That might be true in many occasions but I don't see this case as being in that frame.

It's not that I care much about this kind of "honours" but it's nice to see when persons that we like and that we think deserve to be recognised are actually honoured by their people, i.e. their municipality.
