Liedson: O Levezinho resolve!

Can someone describe him for me? Is he a withdrawn striker or a target man?

He is both things at the same time.
A truly modern striker, dynamic and lethal. He is one of the few strikers I know that wins the ball in his own midfield, occasionally organises the attacking moves, has a very high goal assist rate and scores loads and loads.

VIVA O LEVEZINHO!!!

yes I do and I don't see that many similarities between the styles of both of them. I have to confess I'm not a fan of Kezman and I can't say exactly the same about O Levezinho!

Very good striker, I like him... I think he would be able to play in bigger clubs... he's very important for the Sporting

Teams I like: Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia), Peñarol (Uruguay), Chicago Fire (USA), Volgar Gazprom Astrakhan (Russia), Vannes (France), Dundee FC (Scotland), Arsenal (England) and Hammarby (Sweden).

The thing about Liedson - good player indeed - is that he was discovered very late. It is obvious he would be a much mature and complete player (and could be in the NT) if he was spotted by the clubs here in a early age.

I'm glad he was discovered late and mainly that he was spotted by us to come to Europe and not by Porto or Benfica

The comment on his mentality...does not even deserve a comment...as usual :rollani:

Hugo is pretty useless in deed but Miguel Garcia has his days...he might not be a classy defender like Tonel but I don't forget about that goal against AZ

regarding you promoting me to something in this forum I guess you are looking at the picture upside down

Liedson has an enormous talent but he's a cheat, he'll never hesitate to dive or fake aggressions.

you mean like that time whe he was kicked in the "abono de família" by your pearl Beto inside of your own box?

"abono de família" is, for the non-Portuguese speakers, literally a social security support for families with children and it is used by the people in Portugal as reference to the Ballacks.

E Liedson resolveu!
in A Bola.pt, 25.05.2006

Liedson received yesterday the trophy for the best scorer of our league in 2004/05

he is fast and very quick in his moves, has good dribble and good tecnic, he´s far from tall but scores a lot of goals with his head and a lot more goals with his feet, he just scores lots and lots of goals! ahah. he´s never still in the same place, always moving arround and trying to win the ball; he is very skinny and that´s not really a bad thing to him cause he got a lot of agility and flair. he is a diver sometimes, but tell me a striker that isn´t? he always give his best to the team, fighting the whole match.

and he is a target man and a withdraw at the same time! lol.. Makes a perfect duo with a strong and tall striker up front.
