Quaresma

I know that there was a rumour about Quaresma with Inter, MU and now Deportivo....Deportvo made offer at about 7 milions pounds...I think that for him is Spain the best destination...he would be ideal to the spanish style of play...inter plays to defensive and I don't think he would suit there...
Do you think he is good enough to play in big european club?? How many goals did he scored in last season???He prefers to play on right wing though I know that he could play on the left...
I know that he is said to be next figo but that isn't to early...and is there in POrtugal bigger talent...Viana...Ronaldo....what do you think...

He's definitly good enough to play in big European clubs. However, I don't think that 1. Sporting will accept such an offer, because he's well worth over 10 million, and Deportivo are lucky they aren't still asking for 24, and 2. I think Quaresma will go to Madrid or Manchester United, over Deportivo.

If he was in Benfica, he wouldn't be sold for less than 20 million

That's only because of Benfica's major debt. That's what's more shameful about Benfica. They worry only about their financial gain, over the player's career.

Well the guy at their helm(Madrid) is the reason Man United ever wanted to buy him in the first place. Plus, Ronaldinho is looking set to go to Man United. Plus, if they bring Quaresma, then they have a very good backup for Figo, until he leaves.

Wrong, it's because of Man. Utd's deal with Sporting not because of Queiroz.

No, Queiroz was the man who pointed out Quaresma over half a year before the deal took place. If Queiroz hadn't shown interest in him, the deal might have never taken place.

Oh really?! I guess you were there at the meeting between Ferguson and Queiroz when he pointed out Quaresma to him then..? Or maybe you were sent a tape of it..

And anyway, half a year before the Sporting and Man Utd link-up, was Queiroz even at Manchester Utd..?!

There was news about Queiroz being interested in Quaresma, and he spoke very freely about it.

And yes he was there half a year before the link-up.

As far as I understand, Man Utd have first refusal on players that are transfer-listed or who have a bid put in for them. Obviously this includes Quaresma. I doubt that Man Utd will stop looking at Sporting prospects now that Queiroz has gone..

Well actually it was Queiroz who set up better relations with Sporting and eventually setting up the link. I'm not sure if he did point Quaresma out, but if it was anyone it was him, because he does have much experience picking out the youth stars.

Don't you think that any Benfica player will be sold for 20million euros. That's just a way to keep them for now. Portuguese market, and that's a big difference to Holland or France, can never sell players for prices like in these two countries, for example. I would be very surprised if any player would be sold for 20million, even with the tremendous value they have.

Van Der Vaart could well be sold for 20 million.

I heard today on Sic Notícias that he could be sold to Barça by 10 million € and they would include players on the transfer
