Who should be the coach for the next campaign?

There are many speculations regarding who will be the next Israeli NT coach for the 2016 Euro campaign.

Despite not announcing officially Eli Gutman is not expected to continue despite having some strong supporters among the IFA board.
It is known that Avi Luzon has already met Avram Grant and that he is the leading candidate in the chairmans mind. If Gutman leaves Grant is the leading candidate. What weights against his arrival is the amount of money asked, plus the fact that Grant has not effectively coached in the last year and a half.
Another possibility speculated in the press is the announcement of a duo at the helm. According to Sport5, Eli Ohana, current U-19 coach and Avi Nimni would be the favorites in this case.

The least commented scenario would be a foreign coach, even though many fans defend this idea.

What do you think?

According to some media reports Avi Luzon's main candidate as known is Avram Grant. The veteran coach has apparently offered Yossi Benayoun a spot as his assistant coach despite the fact that the midfielder has not intention to stop playing, In this case Benayoun would have also the role of a player and assistant in the team.

What do you guys think of this?

I respect what he did for Israel NT, Maccabi Haifa , and his Liverpool record, but he done very little for 4 consecutive seasons even he joined Chelsea at the age of 30. I don't think it's smart idea to offer Benayoun assistance role.

Berkovic would be interesting in terms of marketing and making the public regain interest in the NT. He has a brilliant history in the NT as a player and he was certainly one of the most influential and best players ever for the Israeli team. He always gave 100% in the pitch and this even his critics can´t deny. He would certainly inject motivation to the players and make them play for the country with pride. Until here the good part.

But on the other hand, one thing is to know how to play football another one is how to manage a team based on your knowledge. Berkovic may have the Pro course certificate but he is still not proven as a coach. Plus, as a sport pundit, role in which he works today, he is completely critical of almost everything (i honestly don´t know who is worse, him or Shlomo Sharf :rollani. I imagine how the lockeroom could be fragile under his guidance with many internal fights since he is way too passionate in his commentaries.
It would be interesting to see him under the cameras now since today he criticizes everyone. Placing him there he will see it is not an easy task.

According to the media, Avi Nimni and Eli Ohana are strong candidates to make a joint campaign to coach the Israeli NT.
Avi Luzon is set to meet them both next week to decide on the issue. If negotiations fail apparently Eli Gutman will continue for one more campaign.

What do you guys think of this? IMO it could be interesting to see a pair of coaches, but in this case, both Ohana and Nimni, despite being legends for their clubs have failed as coaches. Plus, Nimni is a player agent which of course it is a conflict of itnerest since he obviously might give the priority to players in which he has some involvement.

Don't think Luzon will try reelection.
If Gutman corrects some mistakes from last campaign he might actually have some success.

Anxious to see the Euro qualifying draw.
