Euro 2008 Qualifiers: Russia @ Israel

Okay boys, well we're out and we're playing for pride now.

Lose or draw for Russia and they are gone. They have had a decent campaign so far, but it doesnt seem likely they will advance.

Israel is playing at home, we all know Israel has one of the best home records in Europe, so I dont see Russia getting much from this game. Russia has a few decent players in Arshavin and Zhirkov, but pretty much the entire teams roster play in Russia's domestic league.

I predict a 2-0 win for Israel.

Agree, game is meaningless especially if Russia loses to England which I predict they will, maybe a 1-1 draw if we can get our offense going.

they play Belarus on wednesday.

I know Benayoun wont play as Liverpool requested to have him come back after the Croatia game.

I see more of the younger players getting all the minutes in this game.

And our game against Russia grows in importance. Russia beat England 2-1 in a great game.Destiny sometimes is funny. We were extremely ridiculized and criticized by English media and fans. Even here in xtratime some anti-Israeli posters began bashing us.
Now, those same fans will be now supporting us more than ever. England has only game left and against Croatia at Wembley, Russia has us and in the last round Andorra, meaning that another result besides an Israeli victory will take the English team from the Euro 2008.

i personally dont believe Russia will win in Israel, tie maybe, but not a win.
Russia showed how important home field is, where just a few weeks ago they were eaten by England at Wembley. Wembley is an intimidating place, I was there for the Israel game, and believe me its not a place you wanna come to for an important qualifier.

I dont see England losing to Croatia, so with a win that puts them at 26 pts, and if Russia ties in Israel then England advance.

Israel played like shyte against Belarus. I just HOPE that Kashtan can get a win against Russia because I certainly dont want Israel to be the reason a team qualifies this late in the campaign.

Since England fu-cked us up... i hope we fu-ck ourselves up and lose to Russia and let the Rusky's advance......

just to add.... if we played as good as last round(So they say) and had the strategy of grant, than just thinking about it.... we would have some very good chances come this game, when you look at it..

Say we tied Croatia at home and say we tied England as well....
than we would have like 20 points....
and only 1 loss to Croatia at home....

And we would have gone played Russia, won them and beat macedonia and advanced....

I expect that 2.000-3.000 russians to be in the stadium depending on the capacity of it.I guess 5 per cent of the tickets goes to the opposite team....and doesn't some russian oilgarchs have connections with israel football.

This is a massive game and especialy with england involved a lot of bribe speculation will come out in the english press,no doubt....it will be funny to watch all this.

Certainly a lot of connections on this game. See Abramovich for example a Russian he is jewish and is an owner of an English club. For who will he cheer on this one?

Anyeays, There will certainly be a lot of Russians in Ramat Gan since we have many of immigrants from that country in Israel. Everything for a big match.

I heard Abramovich will pay a lot of money to the Russian players, if they advance
