Euro 2008 Qualifiers: England - Israel @Wembley

Probably the most important game for us this year. Everbody of us knows how much we need to take points from this game.

Kashtan is still thinking about our squad.

This would be my choice:

Goal: Dudu Awat (Deportivo La Coruna), Nir Davidovich (Maccabi Haifa), Liran Strauber (Maccabi Netanya)

Defenders: Yoav Ziv, Shimon Gershon, Arik Benado (All Beitar Jerusalem), Yuval Shpungin (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Tal Ben Haim (Chelsea), Dedi Ben Dayan (Maccabi Netanya)

Midfield: Yossi Benayoun (Liverpool), Walid Badir (Hapoel Tel Aviv), Idan Tal (Beitar Jerusalem), Barak Itzchaki (Beitar),

Strikers: Roberto Colautti (Mönchengladbach), Toto Tamuz (Beitar), Omer Golan (Maccabi Petach Tikva)

English Squad:

Goalkeepers: Paul Robinson (Tottenham), David James (Portsmouth), Scott Carson (Aston Villa).

Defenders: Micah Richards (Man City), Wes Brown (Man Utd), Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd), John Terry (Chelsea), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Sol Campbell (Portsmouth), Phil Neville (Everton), Nicky Shorey (Reading).

Midfielders: David Bentley (Blackburn), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Joe Cole (Chelsea), Shaun Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Michael Carrick (Man Utd), Gareth Barry (Aston Villa) Stewart Downing (Middlesbrough), Owen Hargreaves (Man Utd).

Forwards: Ashley Young (Aston Villa), Alan Smith (Newcastle), Michael Owen (Newcastle), Peter Crouch (Liverpool), Andrew Johnson (Everton), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham).

Steve Gerrard will be the captain, BUT Frank Lampard is doubtful for Israel because he has a tight injury. Beckham will miss the game as well as Wayne Rooney, Kieron Dyer etc..

So the final squad has been posted, Klemi Saban returned, Yaniv Katan is still being called despite his bad form. Barda is gaining the confidence from Kashtan and the rest of the team is pretty much the same.

Yossi will be key on Saturday I feel. He is our star player, we have to get him in positions where he can endanger the England goal.

Ben Sahar wasn´t called up so he got his opportunity to remove the appendix and it is the beginning of the season.

Back to the game. The battle already began as the English media is trying to give some motivation and reason to enter the pitch in a heated fashion. First Idan Tal gave some interview saying that the English style didn´t pleased him and the media already wrote he underestimated the three lion power. Then Rio Ferdinand and Owen Hargreaves said they don´t even know who Idan Tal is and that England will surely win.

Then another story where they are trying to arrange a meeting between Toto Tamuz and his biological father. Just before the big game:rollani:

Yep, the battle is on.

We know England is favourite and we don´t have any doubt about it. But the truth is that they are not in a good form and we feel we have a chance to surprise. Israel is having a good campaign, the English will try to pressure and play hard, if we manage to hold the 15 first minutes we could have at least a point from Wembley.

News from the NT: Collauti is lightly injured and has trained sperately again. He is in serious doubt for the game.

I agree. I think Israel can pull off an upset here.

Scouts from Spain, England and Belgia will watch Beitar star Barak Itzchaki at this game.

Scouts from Racing Santander will take a look at his former players Dudu Aouate and Yossi Benayoun

This is the time for Itzchaki to show how good he is!!

Yeah I know

I forgot to delete Badir from the lineup. My choice was between Zandberg or Badir, and I decided to add Zandberg
