Kashtan calls up for practice.

Israel NT coach Dror Kashtan announced today the squad that will have training sessions this week in Israel. Some surprises as mentioned in the other thread are Elyaniv Barda, Lior Rafaelov and Pini Balili. Katan returns after missing the Croatia match due to the coaches decision. Also goalkeeper Shavit Elimelech was called.

Despite good form Shlomi Arbeitman was left out from the squad.

Awat, Benayoun, Idan Tal and Tal Ben Haim weren't called up since their teams will play during the week.

Full Squad:

Keepers: Nir Davidovich ( Maccabi Haifa) Shavit Elimelech (HApoel Tel Aviv) Tom Almadon (Maccabi Haifa)

Defenders and Side backs: Dekel Keinan (Maccabi Haifa) Yuval Shpungin (Maccabi Tel Aviv) Klemi Saban ( Steaua Bucharest) Shimon Guershon, Tomer Ben Yosef, Omri Afek, Roni Gafni ( all of the from Beitar Jerusalem)

Midfielders: Michael Zandberg, Gal Alberman and Aviram Bruchian ( all from Beitar Jersualem) Walid Badir and Salim Tuama ( Hapoel Tel Aviv) Lior Rafaelov (Maccabi Haifa)

Forwards: Roberto Collauti, Yaniv Katan (both from Maccabi Haifa) Amit Ben Shushan, Toto Tamuz (both from Beitar Jerusalem) Omer Golan (Maccabi Petah Tikva) Elyaniv Barda (Hapoel Tel Aviv) Pini Balili (Sivaspor)

I think Golan is a waste of space, Arbietman should have been called up since Golan is starting to age. Balili is a good call-up since he's been in good form lately and maybe he can attract more clubs in Turkey.

saban and gafni are not NT material !

why not test shriki from ashdod ?
he can score many goals so kashtan should also give him a chance.

Yes you could give Shriki a chance, but who will you take out? I mean you still have Arbeitman, Shechter, Ben Sahar. Shriki still has to work more to get a place in the NT.

Golan has talent, he is a good player, he is still young i mean he is no more than 25.
