EC 08 Qualifier: Israel - Croatia

The game is on November 15th, ages away, in our beloved Ramat Gan.

The Croats already started their match thread (they have nothing else to discuss when their teams aren't doing so well in Europe ) so I thought we can start discussing this game as well.

It's real simple. If we want to qualify we have to win. A draw might be a great result against their world class side but we're here for the real deal and we all remember what happened last time when we had a run of unbeaten games.

EL EL ISRAEL!!!!!

we can beat them, but the likely result would be a tie. We had a draw against them in a friendly 3-3 i remember but we'll see how it works. Hopefully Kashtan will start attacking first thing and put in the young players alongside Colautti which will help alot. Most importantly Benayoun will be in top form, although i watched him play against tottenham and he was nothing close to impressive.

israel won't win but croatia also not ! so it will be a draw because croatia in a very good form and israel isn't used to win against such a strong team even if they will be the better side because with a 1:0 they won't play for the 2:0 so they will get the goal.

israel has a mental problem , the problem is that not to lose against big teams is more important than to win even if they have the chances they are to nervous to get a counter-attack goal.

I wish you guys good luck ( i guess i don´t need to do so, Robinson already wished you some) just not against Israel:smileani:

It will be a tough game and the result will be tight, normally we play very well at home and if we want to qualify we need to beat Croatia.

Some info on the game:

In 4 games between Israel and Croatia there was 1 draw, and 3 wins for Croatia, 3 goals for Israel and 10 for Croatia. Last game in a friendly match in Teddy, 3-3.

Israel´s head too head statistic against former Yugoslavia countries

Games: 21

Israel wins: 6

draw: 5

Former Yugoslavia contries wins: 10

Israel scored: 22
Former Yugoslavia scored: 38

Against former Yugoslavia countries Israel has advantage against Bosnia and our other team group Macedonia.

if we're actually planning to qualify from this group, this is a must-win game. like i said in the other thread, kashtan must play a 4-4-2 if he wants to win this game. Collauti and Ben-Shushan should start up front. forget about Katan, he simply can't perform on the international level. if anything, he should be playing as a left winger. they also must hold possession and press forward. in the last 20-25 minutes, they should switch to a 4-3-3 and pressure the Croatian goal at will, regardless of the score. btw, if we win, it will shock Europe!!!

Yalla Y'israel!!! lets **** them up!!!

we play 4-3-3 all the way. I think Katan should be playing but as a winger on midfield thats for sure. Have Colautti, Ben Shoshan, and Arbietman/Toto up front. We play a 4-3-3 and we'll win. We all saw how much stronger we were agianst Russia when we played the 4-3-3 or atleast a 4-2-2, Colautti needs some support

report me for using another country's flag?
I explained the reasons for that in your forum, I could care less about what other people think but anyway if that's wrong to use I would like to ask all croatian fans to stop using their country's flag as well.

Schnorrer and others:

lets avoid colliding with these guys. I decided to stop using the avatar for now, eventhough there was no reason to do so, better be smart then right as the old saying goes. Schnorrer stop posting at their board, these guys love to fight, let them fight with other nations, we don't need their troubles. And I'm sure that their Mods will make sure their members won't be making anymore insulting comments about Israel.

Good luck with the game guys. I'm really feeling an upset here, I predict a 1-0 win for Israel.

Thought is free.

Anyways, I don't want to hijack this thread with that, but I hope Israel give them a good thrashing. All the best for Israel. I am expecting either a 1-0 win or a 1-1 draw at worst for you guys.
At least our fans don't quit on our team like yours do. Your fans and players are a disgrace and you should be ashamed of every single one of them. EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!

We might get trashed 1-0, 2-0, or even 3-0 but it won't be a 6-1 or 6-0. Our fans will sing through the entire game and never quit on us. NEVER!!!

Serbs are more anti-cro than pro-serb. It's quiet pathetic but considering the way you get your ass kicked in every tournament(you actually qualify, these are rare ocassions and sometimes they involve homo ball grabbing), i'm not surprised.

I'm sick of your kind stalking every croatian on this board. Please move along troll.

Now that i've dealt with the trolls around here, let's move on to the game.

I don't think it's a must win game for either team and both could pick themselves up from a loss. I think it will be a tough game and probably low scoring. I predict a possible 1-0 either way or a draw.

I hope Croatia and Israel qualify from this group. Let's try to eliminate our common enemy....ENGLAND!!!

I know when israel play england,Macedonia, and Russia who i will be cheering for. Israel all the way!!!

Cheers!

thanks mate, we appreciate the support especially from a fellow bayern supporter. Always said that the relations between the fans of both countries should be good. I just hope to watch a good, competitive, and offensive match. Its not a necessity to win, but certainly the winning team will have a upper hand.
