Friendly-less

The WC is coming close and many of the teams involved and some that aren't are playing international friendlies almost everyday nowadays. Why doesn't our team have a match? Was it really that hard to arrange a friendly against whichever opponent it may be? Kashtan is yet to play a game and name a squad, the former coach is already out and in talks with clubs all over the world, a friendly would've been very interesting and productive. I guess our FA didn't try hard enough, I find it hard to believe it's impossible to find a game for a team that finished third in a European qualifying group ahead of Ireland and undefeated...

i agree, there are many teams which would like to play us. Especially world cup teams that know we can put up a fight and prepare them well for the WC. This is very disappointing, and I would have liked to see what team Kashtan calls up. By the way i though we were supposed to player paraguay or costa rica, no?

Im expecting that Costa Rica and Paraguay will play us in June, no? what happened with that match?
How come people make matches and then never agree to them....

personally we should have played. That game with Grant, last one...was pathetic...sure we lost to Denmark, but ....we should have let Kashtan play..worthless game ever.

Israel acts so bad when it comes to these problems...
Afterall, we tied 2nd only to lose to Goal differences..
Doenst that impress any World Cup opponent?

TOlga? Ghana? Italy? Anyone?

There was 13 games all around the world today...
26 teams played against each other. There was Germany vs. Luxemborg, USA vs. Venezuela and even Portugal vs. Cape Verde..

the question i have is this..
Venezuela always tries to play us...and there was a scheduled game to play..
USA should play us. Never had since 1997.
Portugal..why the **** would u play Cape Verde for ....what competition did u get out of it?
Germany...should play us, like russia does.... as a way to open bridges..

in any case, we missed a day to play a friendly in Israel or abroad. We have just bad management in the IFA. They are the ones who are like a sellers. They want the highest price and they want the best buyer. And the problem is, IFA waits for the phone and doesnt bother calling anyone to play a friendly.... I feel neglected.. I would, if i was the IFA play a game with anyone...Estonia, Aruba, Cameron and even Chad....but just lets play!!!

its all because the IFA is being run like a "schuna"... its a very un-professional organization and they are too lazy to book friendly matches...

isnt de ridder playing for the Holland U-21 national team in the European Championship which is going on right now? i think i saw him play last week... that probably means that there is no way he will play for Israel because he played for a different national team, doesnt it????

Well..
its the Holland Senior NT which i am concerned about. If he plays for Holland NT, he cannot come. But this is out of the question..alot has passed and we should have gotten him before age 21.... so we lost that opprotunity

I dont' think De Ridder will play for us, I do focus on Colautti though, as I mentioned in the haifa forum he might get his citizenship on the 15th of September and Kashtan should call this guy up. he knows how to get back on his feet when he's down and when he's up he's really playing at his best. Not to mention that there are plenty of other young midfielders and strikers for out NT... so with all respect to De Ridder I'm sure we can find someone who can replace him.

I would love to see Calluti play for Israel.

I dont know why he is gonna wait til Sept 15th. With the way IFA acts..it would probably take him ions to get his citizenship and get registered as an Israeli... so im not happy with this.

In any case, he is a good name...
and also, i was reading in Haaretz.... a Ben Sachar..he's good material for our NT in another 4-5 years!!

yea well after hearing about that kid who is being fought over by Barca and Arsenal. And thsi Ben Sachar kid, it seems that we're in really good hands for the future. I hope they stay in Europe after they do the military service because that is what usually screws the young players.

I dont think it screws the young player up!
I think we need to study how things are done in Austria and Holland where military is forced..but good players come out in the end
