Tough match, would be content with a draw.

seeing those line-ups it´s more or less clear this is game of reserve teams. Howabout A-teams there is contest, Croatia is a level above us but would be nice to see who has a bigger depth. Last time Svk "B" gained well deserved win over French "B" with Trezeguet and Co.

Croatia using a very strange squad but they are missing many players. Drpic is making his debut, Leko, Knezevic playing out of position and the midfield has no creativity.

Slovakia seem to be playing better early but the game has no tempo to it

I don´t even see the game, just following live-ticker and they wrote that Croatia clearly dominates the game, giving us hard time in front of our net.

However we used many youngsters and I´m not writing off these boys, it´s just a friendly. Such a games could only help.

I actually asked Kajoo about the Slovak alphabet yesterday and from my understanding they do have a letter that could correspond with our Ć.

Ć ć = Ť ť

Ćorluka - > Ťórluka
Rakitić - > Rakitiť

Another interesting example is:

Kranjčar - > Kraňčár

Ć ć = Č č

we pronounce "Rakitič" exactly same way as you

Ť ť sounds like soft T in Matthew

Now I'm really confused. :smileani:

I was using the Slovak alphabet guide and I think my Australian accent got in the way.

Ť ť - steward, tune

With an Australian accent the t in these words is the same (or as close as possible) as the Croatian Ć ć.

Oh well, I'll have to take real lessons. :frustrat: :smileani:

Hamsik is doing well in Napoli, he scored nice goal vs.Samp, but I still think he´s overrated

Thanks, Kajoo, that was exactly what I wanted.

The Č is almost identical even if the Slovak pronounciation is a tiny bit softer (can barely notice it).

The Slovak Ť corresponds (not perfectly but almost) with the Croatian Ć, in fact the Slovak woman in the audio says it better than most Croatians.

I guess my lesson is complete.
