Dynamo's Number 6

Отар МАРЦВАЛАДЗЕ. Using my basic knowledge of Ukrainian I have translated this as Otar Martsvaladze. Is this spelled right?

Also I have seen numerous people spelling number 3 as "tree". I hate to be pedantic as I know a lot of people don't speak English as the first language, but it is in fact spelled "three". I just want to save anyone from any embarassment should they go to England or USA.

On a completely different topic with Peev on loan to Dnipro (I think) will this become permanent and will Rebrov get number 11 shirt back next year? That would be great and I would not be too unhappy if Peev left.

Dynamo Kyiv are better than Shakhtar Donnetsk!

Thanks eveyone. Although Marvaladze is easier to say and sounds better. Always get things like this mixed up. Like "ryceb" Looks like it should be Gusev or Husev. Where did they get the "y" from in Husyev?

HUSYEV in Ukrainian is ГУСЄВ. Letter for letter, the Ukrainian is HUSYEV (Г=H, У=U but kind of said always like 'oo' , С=S, Є=Ye, В=V .

Apparently Russians dont have such problems, cause they try to translate letter for letter... So very often when you read a Russian name and dont know how its really pronounce, you get it horribly wrong...
For example, in Ukraine Akinfeev [a k i n f i v] you would spell as Akinfyeyev (A k i n f ye ye v]...
You see the difference?
But of course many prefare the first one casue its easier to read and spell...

Yes you would, but there's no difference between "e" and "є" when you pronounce it... Just ask Dmitriy... They both sound the same... Its just this is the way Ukrainians spelled it since i can remember... Dont know the story behind it though...

Dmytro. As is Dmytro Vorobei. Is that mistranslated for Dimitriy or is it a different name. How is it pronounced? Dim-ee-tro? Der-mit-ro?

Dmytro is a Ukrainian version of Dmitriy...
Its like Andriy (Ukraine), Andrey (Russian) and Andrew (English) all the same names slightly changed during the so-called "name evolution" () if you like

Is Martsvaladze decent or is he just filling up our squad. We already have enough strikers, it could be that Otar is just filling up a place which could be used by one of the Dynamo-2 team, such as Vorobei. Unless of course some strikers want to leave in summer. Hopefully Verpakovskis will go to Southampton (I heard he got a trial and would love to see him there next season). Shatskikh looks unlikely to go to West Brom as they have been relegated and wont have the money. Has Roberto Nanni finally left yet?

Dynamo is giving a chance to the young georgian, than in the end of the season thay will decide if he stays in the club or not...
Verpakovkis is useless and he is not even ukrainian,so should leave, maybe Dynamo can make some money with him.
Nanni is lost in some minor club in Spain or Italy!

The strikers for next season are Kleber,Shatsikh and Milevsky....and Dynamo should buy one or two new strikers, but better to talk about that in the transfer rumours thread.
