Upl round 17: Dynamo-Arsenal

So the great derby of the Ukrainian capital is waiting us tomorow.
Is Zavarov against Deminanenko, and Okoduwa against Kleber ,so who do you think that will win it?.Arsenal never won against Dynamo, btw.

I think Dynamo will win easily,Arsenal in now the worst team of the league alongside with Tavria and Zakarpattia.

How about that 3-1 win in Kyiv few years earlier...? when Sheva still played for Dynamo and scored that Brill free-kick
Also Rebrov's late equaliser in London...

Good ol' times...

as it happens, you were good then, i told Haroon once that you were the best team i saw in the competition that year and he made out that you were a one man team, that Sheva was your only player.

We were never a one-man team... Unlike the other teams in the competition, we had a star team, not a team of stars... Of course it was a great bonus to have strikers like Sheva and Rebrov playing together upfront, but the whole team worked together well... We were probably the best counter-attaking team back then...

We were a better side in Kyiv when we drew with Bayern in the semi-final (lost a 3-1 lead ) and were unfortunate to lose the away game 0-1... Considering that ManU only won the title in additional time, i thin we could've had a big go at the title if we just had a little more luck...

P.S. even without Sheva, we made it thru the first group stage the next year and were again unfortunate not to get past the second group stage (u might remember back then there were 2 group stages...)

That year we were the second (i think) team ever not to get past the group stage with 10 points (Real Madrid got thru with 10 points as well)

Couple of years later we again failed to qualify from the group stage with 10 points again (i think that was the year we were in the group with Arsenal and Inter)

We are still the only team in the history of the competition not to have qualified from the group stage TWICE having had 10 points... This happened only on 3 occasions as far as i remember - 2 of those times it was us... :///

Dynamo Youth academy still produces great players, but because of the number of highly paid foreign players, they dont get the chance they deserve and personally i think that some like Aliev & Milevsky are as good as Sheva was when he debuted for Dynamo... They just luck confidence after being sidelined/sent to Reserves for so long...

cheers for that, yes i KNOW you were not a one man team, i had a big debate with Haroon, i was at Wembley and the 1st half especially you cut us to shreds on the counter, you really should have been a few goals up, and then i kept watching you throughout the tournament after that, very impressive.

Yes,with a goal scored by a polish.

Looks like Dynamo could have scored more, especialy in the first half.
Damn!!!,i missed my prediction by one goal,it should be 4-1 and not 3-1.

Nice to see Belkevich scoring, and of course Kleber!

Roman, the correct name of the polish is Kowalczyk.

So tree points ahead of the Miners!
