The problem I have with Chrome is that once shockwave crashes (and it seems i does that a lot recently!) One of chrome processes eats up most of resources, and I am left with a 286 XT-like machine, until I kill that process!

The issue I have with Opera is that pages are not auto-reloaded when I start the browser. I have to manually refresh every tab, which is quite annoying.

I don't know, but I might quite browsing all together!

If I look at things that way, I can say: I was born too early to be happy. But birth is one of the many things we do not get to choose. It is part of our destiny."

Dab, so what's wrong with Firefox again?

At the touch of her lips it grew long and swollen. He gasped as she squeezed and pulled expertly. It was the best balloon giraffe he'd seen.

Nothing, it looks too heavy though.

I dont know if suggesting Chrome is such a good idea.

I use it, but I notice it takes a lot of more task space than Ff or Opera

Sorry I mean it takes up a lot of processor space?

IDK I'm not a geek. All I know is that there's lots of CHROME.EXE on my task manager when I have several tabs open.

Chrome runs every tab/extension in it's own process, that's why.

It's a good thing, even though it uses a little more memory than browsers that clump everything into the single process. This way when you close a tab, all of the memory being used is freed with it, which isn't really the case with other browsers.

Okay thanks for the explanation.

For my 'old' pc opening too many tabs on Chrome can be tedious, which is why I use mainly Opera now. But Opera has some weaknesses too, of course.
Though it's a bit faster than Firefox at the startup.

It could pose a problem on a machine without much memory, but for the standard machines today it's nothing to worry about.

P.S - This is what Chrome users have to look forward to Just installed the latest Chromium build and ran the same benchmark, and it poops on the competition, taking top spot back off of Opera.

How's the Chrome's add blocking software? I got 6 cores oc'ed at 3.5Ghz, I could care less about speed as long as I see no adds.

Actually I can't help but LOL when I see the browsers' benchmark. It's like with Chrome you have a core i7 extreme edition with 6 cores and IE8 you have a single core Celeron

Is Chrome gonna make my FM11 playing faster?
Or can I run Crysis 2 with Chrome?

It's true Firefox has it's...erm....issues - but it is wonderfully stable and very, very good for watching pirate television.

Doc - https://chrome.google.com/extensions...namgkkbiglidom

It will block most by default, and if it doesn't block something you can simply right-click and make it happen. Also has filter lists that you can subscribe to, just like with the Firefox AdBlock.

"The best" depends on what someone needs from it, for simple everyday use Chrome is often the best choice. If you need customisation and whatnot, Firefox comes into play. Opera is a very worthy competitor.

All of the above are better than anything Internet Explorer has mustered up to date. It's sad that people feel they need to use it because it's the default browser that comes with their operating system, and it's even sadder that web developers all around the world have been handcuffed into having to make their sites "IE compatible", while the fault really lies with IE not being compatible with standards.

But let's see, go on and tell us why I have to admit Chrome isn't the best? You've obviously come to the conclusion, so please do share how you got there.

How? I have 6 tabs which gives me 9 processes, one for each tab and one for each extension.

Nacka needs more convincing than this.

I don't care if Firefox is customizable and able to pour me my whisky and wank my willy (censored) for me. I can do that myself as long as the browser is somewhat stable and reliable.

I am giving it a try to the latest Opera browser.

Looking good so far, pretty fast, a lot of customizations to play with and never crashed so far.
