Really? I'll have to check that out.

And what kind of compatibility issues?

For example if I go to yahoo.ca it won't load the background page - it actually looks better (!) - but of course, it is something to take note of.

Definitely worth checking and seeing, you can always get rid of it if you don't like it.

By the way I've sorted iTunes. More on that later

Heads up for those running Chrome and AVG antivirus.

AVG's virus definitions are detecting Chrome as a trojan for some reason, it's nothing to worry about.

OK So basically; this is what I followed; I'm adding a test two for those who may prefer an alternative:

est #1 - Default iTunes Music folder location
Starting with a "stock" iTunes on the PC, I copied the entire contents of the
"iTunes" folder from:
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
This included the two library files ("iTunes Library.itl" and "iTunes Music
Library.xml"), a folder named "Album Artwork", and the "iTunes Music" folder.
Then I said farewell to the PC....

On the Mac, I fired up iTunes once, just to make sure its prefs file and storage
folders got created. Next I quit iTunes, and deleted the "iTunes Library" file
from the /Users/username/Music/iTunes/ folder. (You can delete everything in
that folder if you wish, but at least delete the iTunes Library file.) Then I
copied over the four PC iTunes items -- two library files, two folders -- into
the Mac's "iTunes" folder. Then I fired up iTunes...and everything was just as
it should be. All the tunes were there, all the playcounts, all the ratings, all
the playlists, etc. (Feeling brave, I then quit iTunes, located the "iTunes
Library.itl" file I'd copied over from the PC, and removed the ".itl" extension
from the filename. Fired up iTunes again, and everything was still fine.)

And there you have it...

I posted twice for those may have problems in the future....

Shouldn't make a difference, the extensions are used by Opera (or whichever browser), not the operating system, and the browser is made to be cross-platform.

OK.

Try right clicking an area of your browser and click 'appearance' on the resulting menu bar. There should be a menu with a series of tick boxes on one of the tabs, keep clicking till you find the right one.

If that doesn't work, look for a 'preferences'/ 'tools' menu on the main menu bar.

One of these should definately have it. Quite easy to find in my past expreience of windows...

Just in case, here is an Opera extension website:

The current Firefox beta looks quite stable, should give it a go.

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/beta/

It has a much more Opera-like interface now.

Just ran a benchmark on a few browsers, all the major players except IE 9 and Safari because they are shit.

Interesting result at the top for me.

Opera is good enough,
The only thing that annoys me, that Google Documents doesn't really work with Opera.

firefox was great for a while but now its freezing up.. not responding.. specially when i multi-tab. I dont have the same problems with Internet explorer and will probably switch back to it.. but oh the pain of moving all my bookmarks/favorites.

You'd be much better off moving to Chrome (or one of the variants, such as Chromium, Iron etc) or Opera if you want to ditch Firefox.

Internet Explorer is devil, except it's not nearly as cool.

i really have no clue about all those. Chromium, Iron, and Opera? well pick one for me ! I prefer one where i can save passwords etc... but other than that i'm a standard user.. gmail.. XT, goal.com and lots of other official medical board websites...

what would you suggest

I would suggest Google Chrome.

You can import all of your favourites/passwords from Mozilla too. Here is a guide to it, if it doesn't prompt you during the installation.
