Roman Pavlyuchenko to Hamburg ?

In the local press it was reported that Hamburg is monitoring Spartak striker Roman Pavlyuchenko and may try to buy him in the Bundesliga winter break. I don't know if this is really true, nevertheless it would be interesting if someone could describe the player. I never saw him playing, i only know that he is one of the leading scorers in the russian league this season. What kind of striker is he ?

A bit similar in style to Sheringham, although I believe he's taller. And he's far too good for HIV.

As i already stated in the entry post, i don't know if we are really interested, the newspapers only claimed that Hamburg watched this striker and i always like to be informed about all players which are connected to us in rumors ....

I know that the big clubs from Moscow are flooded with money. We don't have money problems either but of course our transfer budget is limited compared to clubs which have an ultra rich investor in the background like many russian clubs ( do you have one ? - i don't know Spartak very good, sry... ).

Well Rothose,we are just sponsor by the four largest oil companie in the world, our lovely Lukoil.
So our budget can go from 50 million to 500 million euros.
The only problem for us is that not many international players want to come to Moscow, especialy the western european ones.

He can score with his head or either foot, can cross the ball well, hold the ball up, and pass it well. Sheringham and Pavliuchenko are both good enough not to need a high workrate - though it was necessary for Sheringham when he sometimes found himself to be in teams where 6 or 7 colleagues were not performing.

Well, to be honest i never monitored Sheringham closely - only when played next to Klinsmann at Tottenham, and back in these days he was doing alot of work for Klinsi....
