How sure are you of that Juergen? I wouldn't have minded if Rangers had drawn them, but I take it they can still play a bit?

So...Do you have the option to see the match at the stadium Viola? Is it close to where you live?

Angel eyes..you guys have a superb chance to go to CL this year if Trabzonspor doesn't go through.

Rapid is a good opponent, but nothing special. Their midfield is strong, their keeper very good, but their defence is weak now and the strikeforce...average.

So Rapid weren't anywhere bear being the best team in the draw, but certainly weren't the worst then?

AAB, i'm pretty happy with that, but we'll have to wait and see :nervous:

This is also the biggest chance Rabotnicki will have to come to CL. If they get through Loko they'll have to beat Rapid Wien ....But it'll be tough for Rabotnicki to score away against the best defensive team in russia without conceding a goal. I bet that Loko will be playing on the counter-attacks.

A bit more in-depth:

Rapid's keeper is Helge Payer. He is really good, despite his young age. Can make a difference.

Their defence is shaky...there are some new players..Radek Bejbl is prominent, but old, Valachovic is another Czech. Labant is injured, the rest is not worth to be mentioned.

In midfield there are two strong wings. Ivanschitz is Austria's biggest talent, very skilled, Hofmann the Austrian player of the year. In the center Korsos and Hlinka do the dirty jobs.

Their strikeforce is Kincl, Lawaree and Akagündüz. Kincl is strong and dangerous, but slow. Aka is quick and mobile.

Rapid is Austrian champion - but by no means the best squad in the country. They won the title because Austria and GAK focused on Europe and hadn't enough power in last season's finish.

So they're roughly the same level as GAK then? I saw GAK at Ibrox last year, and I know it's unfair to judge a team after one match, but I wasn't impressed by them.

Sorry for all the questions

GAK is better. But GAK had a bad day at Ibrox, remember, they beat Liverpool away...

Loko will beat Rabotnicki, with all due respect, and then beat Rapid. I predict something like 4-2 to Loko on aggregate.

It's better for Loko. Rapid will play at Hanappi stadium, a small (19000) and tight ground.

best defensive team?
Well....that's just arrogant to open a threat like this.
And because you are so arrogant you will loose.
And it will be Rapid - Rabotnicki....

I was so arrogant to open the thread...me, the Loko-fan... I respect Rabotnicki and they have their chances, but Loko will win. From an unbiased view.
