Can't be more a stupid decision by Russia, (though Mosto hasn't played great against Spain.)

I am sorry Ary, but it was the right decision, IMHO. He can't critisize the coach after one game and say that Russia will not advance. No one should be allowed to ruin the atmosphere in the team like this.

Caipirinha: 6 €
Brazilian NT shirt: 70 €
Flight to Rio de Janeiro: 400 €
Seeing Italian NT kicked out of major tournament: PRICELESS

Hatelist:

Associazione Culo Milan
Lazio
Barcelona de mierda
Real de puta Madrid
Manchester Shitnated
Liverfool
Dinamo Kyiv
Panathinaikos
Olympique Marseille

of course is it.

My view about that is...
that Mosto is respected by all people and so when he talk all people hear him.
Yartsev( ) don't want one leader on the team

Actually what did Mosto say? You know criticism is not negative all the time. Sometimes moderate criticism could provide motivation and make the team better.

Don't want him to end his national team tournament in this disgraceful way!!!

He also said that he is sure that Russia will not advance to the quarter-finals. Now, you can't say something like that if you want your team to do well, can you?

here what he told to the Spanish papers and so Yartsev sent off him:

"We were totally shattered. I don't think Spain were worked as hard as we were before this tournament,"

"I'm really angry about it and I don't think we'll qualify now."

Another thing, I read it at Corriere della Sera website, instead of joining the team at training, Mostovoj went to the beach and that's why he was sent home eventually.

Georgi Yartsev has reiterated that Aleksandr Mostovoi's expulsion from the Russia squad will not weaken the side before potentially decisive Group A game against Portugal.

The 35-year-old RC Celta de Vigo midfield player has been sent home after criticising the team in the Spanish press. However, the coach dismissed any idea that, with victory against the hosts paramount after Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Spain, Mostovoi would be missed.

"We have played and won without Mostovoi before," Yartsev told euro2004.com. "He did not feature in our [play-off] win against Wales either, so do not pay too much attention to his absence. For some reason people believe he is the biggest star in our team. I don't believe that.

"The mood in the squad is good, and the players took this decision the right way. Mostovoi got overconfident and rates himself too highly. He also doubted our chances in the group and our ability. You cannot play at a major tournament in such a mood. Mostovoi is not a star. [Aleksei] Smertin and [Dmitri] Alenichev are our stars."

theRussian Football Federation has also stated that Rolan Gusev was one of the players along with Mostovoi who didn't give full effort in his match, and was pretending. that was the cause of the substition.
