Clubs you wanna see...

in the Premyer Liga.

There are so many well-supported clubs in Russia, which one should make it into the top flight?

I go for:

1. Volgar-Gazprom Astrakhan...3rd league..I know...
2. Fakel Woronesh
3. Kristall Smolensk
4. Arsenal Tula (although the name is painful... )
5. Baltika Kaliningrad

Whats your opinion?

SKA Rostov ( so the leageu can finally have the Rostov derby)
SKA St.Petersburg(although i don't kno if this club is still around, or changed names or what).

and of course the club i'd like to see most is ,

Anzhi Mahachkala, this team plays very beautiful football, and it was a real shame when it got relegated.

All success of this club was related to the genius art of Gadzi Gadzieev (now, coach of Krylia). Without him it is an ordinary team but with very hot fans

Arsenal Tula have a very good support and atmosphere at their ground.

Their home attendances are double that of any other club in the First Division.

The atmosphere at the ground for the game currently against Torpedo Moscow puts most Russian clubs to shame including the Premier League clubs.

They have a chance to get automatic promotion to the Premier League this season.

10 year bump?

But yeah. Arsenal would be nice to see in the PL. Alenichev has done a great job there. Hopefully he sticks with them and doesn't **** off to Spartak in the summer.

I used the search function on here and put in Tula and this was the first thread that mentioned them and also mentioned passionate supporters in Russia.

It looks like the referee may have been intimated by this home crowd He disallowed a Torpedo Moscow goal for no good reason

Torpedo were the more slick, technical team but Tula battle for the win.

A good win against a rival for that second spot in the league.

I was just very surprised to see such an atmosphere for a midweek match in Russia Div. 1.

Kudos to Tula

No not a fan but I just sort of tumbled across this game on a stream and couldn't quite work out at first what game it was. What I saw was a near full ground with great atmosphere and you just don't associate that with these sort of matches.

Saying that I was so impressed with the Tula support that I may keep tabs on them at least their home games and see if they can get promotion.

They're almost assured promotion now. They're now 5 points clear of Torpedo for that automatic promotion spot with 3 games to go.

I posted a stream a few days ago of Gamba Osaka vs. Kawasaki Frontale and one poster was surprised at how good the atmosphere was and how the stadium was packed. Maybe this surprise comes from the "Asian gloryhunter" stigma and not expecting Japanese fans to support their local clubs.

Yeah but the J-League does have some good crowds so really it shouldn't have come as a surprise to that poster.

This Russia Div.1 league the average crowd is just a couple of thousand fans. This Tula team average around 10-11,000 per game. They are basically an anomaly in this league.
