It's on the Derby Facebook

Ridiculous the amount of managers Derby have gone through last few years, while the results haven't been good it still looks bad the chairman sacks managers so easily

My guess Rowett is the favorite?

We have gone through to many managers, but as I've said before I do think this needed to happen. In hindsight it was a bad decision to go back for mac.

The next manager must be given time though. Rowett must be the favourite, especially as he's available, and as he's been linked with the Norwich job, it could explain the sudden move to sack mclaren.

Powell and Chris Evans also gone.

Phillips & zuberbuhler still at the club as far as I can tell

Rowett 1/6 favourite

Then a big jump to Pardew at 9/1, neill, warburton, hodgson, ranieri & Sherwood outside bets at the moment.

Will be interesting to hear your thoughts, I thought I was in the minority wanting him sacked, it seems it's a bit more split than I thought.

Online fans poll is currently split 50/50

Jimbo said that the arrival of McClaren "papered over the cracks". I have no reason to doubt that that's true, so just replacing him won't solve the problems, if you ask me. The new man will have a "new broom" effect, but that's neither here nor there, the position Derby are in.

Anyway, I reckon the club has acted now so that Rowett doesn't end up at Norwich.

F****t saved by goal difference.

Rowett is expected to be appointed soon.

He's got a big job on, and he needs to be allowed to do it. There should be no desperation for promotion next season, the mentality and character of the squad needs to be changed, it's not a quick fix, but I have more confidence in Rowett doing it than McClaren.

I have to say, I really hoped Steve would be given the chance to rekindle what we had before. Get Martin, Thorne and Forsyth back and play the exciting football we did before. Maybe it was wishful thinking.

If it is Rowett, I just hope everyone gets behind him.

Here's hoping that Derby fans will be as happy with Rowett as Burton fans were when he was at the Pirelli. I'm sure that most of the people who go to Pride Park one week and the Pirelli the next approve of the appointment.

I'm not listening to my cynical father, who said "The only question is who will replace him."
