Trip to Birmingham this weekend, I'm sure Gary will be looking forward to it.

Traffic on the A38 at Fradley, near Lichfield, was halted for fifteen minutes this evening as Aston Villa supporters returning from their team's match at Burton Albion fought running battles with Derby County fans making their way home after the Rams' game at Birmingham City. L.H., a Derby supporter from Alvaston, said that trouble was inevitable once the Derby fans had been "provoked" by chants of 'Who are ya?', although he claimed not to have got involved.

Er - sorry. Got a bit carried away there. A mixture of nostalgia for the good bad old days and knowledge of what happens in XXXX (name of country withheld in the interest of forum harmony).

F****t saved by goal difference.

Wonder if any Derby fans stopped in Burton on the way home, wouldn't be surprised if "some" tried even in this day and age.

Last minute winner from Ince, 10 points out of 12 since Rowett came in.

Brentford away, their home form is usually pretty good, a test for Rowett this one.

4 - 0 to Brentford (FT)
Rowett revolution? Possibly.
Rowett honeymoon? Finished.
Good thing he's "looking for improvement, not league position".

Well, we didn't play well, wasn't a 4-0 game though, but it again shows that Soft under belly we have.

It was a reminder in case anyone was doubting it, we need at least 3 or 4 in, in the summer.

Just got in from the game, Wolves were awful, but we played well, should have scored more than 3 goals, a nice little positive end to the season at pride park, now for a big summer ahead.

Positions that need looking at for me are, right back, centre back, left back, DM, left wing and Striker. That's 6 players. Chairman and Rowett have both said the squad is to big, so that's some serious movement needed.

Forsyth & Thorne back from injuries could solve 2 of those positions.

Grant Leadbitter would be ideal, experienced leader no nonsense type midfielder, but would he leave Middlesbrough?

We need a bit more pace and power, it was obvious watching from the stand today that we are a really small team, no wonder we concede so many goals from corners.

Didn't know where else to put this or if it deserves a separate thread but the clubs' president Sam Rush has been sacked today for "gross misconduct." Seems like something corrupt involving finances of the club also his dealing with some agents

Obviously can only speculate at the moment as there's no facts been made public.

But Sam Rush used to work at Wasserman Group football agents, since he's arrived we've signed a lot of players represented by them...

Blackman, Camara, Shackell, Butterfield, Johnson to name a few.

Rush using his contacts to find players, question is was there any dodgy deals going on?

It was about time we had another Rams scandal.

I think you could be onto something with your mention of transfers, jimbo. Gary Rowett, asked by the "Derby Telegraph" for his reaction to the news about Rush, starts off by saying that the "playing side" will be little affected, as you would expect him to, but then goes on to state that he's had a considerable say over transfers in recent years. Why does he say that? Why does he suddenly raise the issue of transfers? Perhaps he's let the cat out of the bag. Or could it just be his way of saying that he won't be happy if the next CEO is in total charge of transfers? http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/derb...ail/story.html

F****t saved by goal difference.

Think it's a definite statement that Rowett doesn't want a replacement for Rush

It's been a positive start from Gary, I just hope he is given the time to build his own team. I like what he says, if he's given the chance he will do a fine job.
