2-0

Benty has still got it, nice assist from Ince again, what a partnership.

The pundits say "Dangerous side", "Talented players", and then Derby concede three goals at home in one game and four goals at home in the next. What the hell is going on?

F****t saved by goal difference.

McClarens return papered over the cracks. Some of the downfalls of this team have been here for 3 seasons, but Pearson really left it in a mess.

McClarens getting a response when he came in and the Darren Bent & Tom Ince double act dragged us back to a sniff of the play offs but it isn't enough.

The main fault with this team as it has been for some time, is a real lack of leadership on the pitch. We never replaced John Eustace. Instead we just keep signing technicals good midfielders. Keogh is no captain, he's like a headless chicken and our leader in the frontline was Martin...

In the summer we need 3 leaders to come into the football club (Martin possibly as one), they don't have to be the best footballers. We are turning into the championship version of arsenal, obsessed with tidy technical players but never addressing the glaring problems in the team.

If we could get him, Leadbitter from Boro would be ideal, and a big strong vocal centre half. Then maybe we'd get somewhere.

Well it's all gone belly up. I echo the sentiments we need a bit more leadership, also not be so reliant on the 433 formation. It's a big summer coming up. We need to get the squad balance right.

Losing to Burton will be the final nail in the coffin for this season.

Don't know if they'll still be tired after yesterday's all-hands-to-the-pumps display.
Dyer and Varney won't be tired, because they didn't come on until well into the second half. Don't know if they'll be selected, though.
Akins played no part because he picked up an injury in the warm-up. Don't know how bad the injury is. Yesterday he was destined for the bench, but if he's not crocked on Tuesday, who knows?

F****t saved by goal difference.

I thought you were going to say 'and the leader I want is Irvine!'

Formerly Jeffrey, ILA etc.

Depressing thought of the day, if we'd have won the last 2 games like we really should we could have caught Leeds & Wednesday by winning our games in hand....
