I can see the joke hasn't worked. "Accha" in this context is Hindi for "Oh! I see" or "Is that so?", as if I was supporting India - but it was a fake wind-up (I'm not in the habit of winding people up): I don't support India and I don't support Australia either.

F****t saved by goal difference.

What's hilarious is Shane Warne had been laying into Steve O'Keefe, saying the selectors should've picked Swepson or Agar instead, and throughout the test he kept making these little digs. Then O'Keefe proceeds to take six wickets and ends up with better figures than Warne ever achieved in India Warne gave him zero credit whatsoever after that. So bitter.

We won the first test by 333 runs, O'Keefe took 6 more wickets in the second innings.

Where in town can I get a) smart and b) casual shoes.

I've been all over this shithole called Mong Eaton.

The smart shoes I wanna pay 30-40 and the casual 50-80. I don't want something like Tesco quality... but I don't want to break the bank either.

We used to have many shoe shops here on the high street but theers only shoe box and Clarkes and clarkes is full of ladiez shoes.

Erm I rarely venture into Derby these days since I moved up to Denby.

But Westfields full of the usual fashion shops, got my "formal" shoes from next. Nice pair of black leather slip ons. Bought as a whole suit, so no idea what the price was. lol iron gate has always been where the more "trendy" shops have been.

I have to admit to buying online a lot these days for convenience. Bad really, but I don't get much time to go shopping for the day.

Thanks...

I bought some online. Love the design but were too big + they didn't feel right. My previous 2 to that didn't fit great albeit perfectly fine.

I look after shoes rather well nowadays. They last years...so I want to get it right.

Someone else said they got their formal shoes from Next. I'll see if I can go tomorrow.

Where is Iron gate?

Iron Gate leads off the Market Place in a northerly direction.

What jimbo calls "Westfield" is now called "Intu", but the shops are the same.

F****t saved by goal difference.

Yeah, I'm the same, but I thought I'd better give it its latest name: I wouldn't want Bentex to go looking for "Westfield" and not find it.
I was the same with "iPro". I never used that term. It's always been "Pride Park" to me.

Hah, I still call it westfields

I know it well, I go there often. I like eating there with people! No arguments... everyone can have what they want. I normally have a beef stew. It's not so bad. The Chinese is good too.

But I have no idea about the stores in there. Although I went to the new Jacamo store a few weeks ago. Recommended by a friend. Got some nice stuff there.

Yep. Windies bowled really well for England's first innings on what is a relatively flat pitch. Backed it up with some great batting.

What did you think of Bangladesh's first Test win against the Aussies?

Well it doesn't surprise me as Bangladesh have improved shitloads in recent years, in fact some rate them ahead of the Windies given their decline, this latest win not withstanding. They have some outstanding players in particular Shakib. That's not to mention Australia's dire record on the subcontinent. Dizzy Gillespie wouldn't hit a double ton against this mob.

Really enjoyed that second test, and actually hopes for a Windies win, for the good of cricket, and because i bet my brother they would at lunch on day one

The lad hope was a real find, Brathwaite I already knew of and really like, proper old fashioned opener.

I really don't like the talk of 2 division tests, unless it is done competitively with promotion/relegation and as Michael Holding suggests, division 1 teams still playing division 2 teams away from home.
